Why I Wrote “Just Past Midnight”

“Glorious will be the deliverance of those who have patiently waited for His coming and whose names are written in the book of life… It is at midnight that God manifests His power for the deliverance of His people. The sun appears, shining in its strength. Signs and wonders follow in quick succession. The wicked look with terror and amazement upon the scene, while the righteous behold with solemn joy the tokens of their deliverance.” Ellen White, The Great Controversy, page 634-636

When I first read this incredible passage I was still learning to play guitar, and I had begun to write songs. This statement inspired me to write a song with a unique Bible theme, one that would proclaim the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14. I wanted the song to bring conviction to my audience regarding their own spiritual condition in light of the judgment hour announced by the first angel. I also wanted it to embrace the statement of Christ that we should read and understand the prophecies: “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)” Matthew 24:15. Therefore I wrote, “the story was written down long ago, and if you will study you will know.” In the verses that follow, there is a description of the general climate of the earth when the plagues are falling upon mankind and Christ’s return is imminent.

Toward the middle of the song I declare, “Unrepentant sinner what will you do? There’s a day of judgment been appointed for you… You rejected His prophets and called His truth a lie, and now your time must come to die…” This warning of a coming judgment is found throughout the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation and in all of the writings of the prophets.

“LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days…” Psalm 39:4. “A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.“ “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.” Proverbs 14:16, 22:3.

Two “judgments” are spoken of in the scriptures. The first judgment occurs before the return of Christ. This judgment is the time when God decides the eternal destiny of every soul, and names are retained or removed from the book of life.

“I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and His wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him: thousand thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.” Daniel 7:9-10

“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels.” Revelation 3:5

“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” Revelation 21:27

“Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Revelation 14:6-7

The second judgment occurs after Christ’s return, after the wicked have been destroyed by the brightness of His coming and the earth has laid desolate for a millennium. This judgment is the time when the wicked realize that their names are not written in the book of life, and when they are required to give an account before God.

“I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. . . . But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. . . . But the judgment shall sit… And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” Daniel 7:13-27

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:11-15

“But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet.” I Corinthians 15:23-25.

“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” “…every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Hebrews 9:27, Romans 14:12.

“If that evil servant shall say in his heart, my lord delayeth His coming; the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 24:48-51.

This second judgment is the time when all wickedness and hypocrisy will finally be done away with. No more will sinners flee accountability and hide from conscience.

In the world today, accountability and commitment have lost their importance to the vast majority; it has become easy to avoid keeping your word and escape punishment. The Bible tells us, “in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.” I Timothy 3:1-4. But this rebellious, dishonest, pleasure-loving generation will not be tolerated in the judgment.

Some may react to warnings with anger, but a patient does not get mad at the doctor who tells them that they have a life threatening illness. Instead they will do all they can to avert the consequences of it, or else prepare for the inevitable. The knowledge that we will all appear before the Ancient of Days and that we are very close to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, should arrest our attention. It should cause us all to beware lest we be found wanting and have no covering for our sins, and to examine ourselves, while there is still a time of probation.

Yet we need not fear; we all can be the Children of the Most High God. It was for this reason that the Father sent His Son to us. ”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.” Ephesians 1:3-7. Now is the time to take advantage of this great gift; now is the time to repent, that we might be found written in the book of life.

The Writing on the Wall: The Coming Judgment

In order to understand the events that are going on on the earth, we need to have a solid foundation of Bible prophecy; that way we can have the understanding that God gives pertaining to the various events taking place.

In Revelation 17, we see a judgment that must take place with the great whore of Revelation.

Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

Before identifying more definitely this “great whore”, we will first look at what it means that she is “sitting upon many waters”.

What is the waters? Rev 17:15 says “And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”

What does it mean that she is sitting over people, multitudes, nations, tongues? It means she receives her throne amongst the people. This power is the same as described by Paul:

2Thes. 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Notice that this “man of sin” sits in the temple of God. What is this temple of God?

1Cor. 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

The Scripture tells us that we are to be married to the Lord, in covenant with Him:
1 Cor. 6:17 …he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Also notice that the Spirit, called “the Holy Ghost” is the dwell in the temple of our souls. But the “people, multitudes, nations, and tongues” are “joined” to the “great whore”, so that the Spirit cannot be there.
1Cor. 6:16,18 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh…Flee fornication…he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

So then if anyone is in covenant with the Lord, they are “one Spirit”, but if they are joined to a “whore”, they are in covenant with them, and are “one flesh”. Thus the Spirit is not residing on the heart, but the man of sin, which is nothing less than sin dwelling in what is supposed to be God’s temple. Therefore, God isn’t in the heart, but the man of sin, represented by the “great whore”, is.

Let’s look at the identity of the great whore:
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Notice she is clothed with purple, scarlet, and gold. These colors are sanctuary colors. God’s temple, as well as the high priest garments, that the Lord instructed Moses to make had those same colors. But one color is missing from what she is arrayed in:

Exo 26:36 And thou shalt make an hanging for the door of the tent (of the Sanctuary), of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework.

Exodus 28:4-6 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. (5) And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen. (6) And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.
Compare the Priest of God with the great whore:
Gold, Purple, Scarlet, Blue= Priest

Gold, Purple, Scarlet, No Blue.= Whore
What then does the blue represent?

Numbers 15:38-40 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: (39) And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: (40) That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
Blue= Remembering the commandments of God= Keeping the Covenant with God

No blue= Forgetting the commandments of God= Going “a whoring”
So the woman represents a priesthood power that FORGETS the commandments of God, having gone “a whoring”. Also the woman represents a church:

Jer 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.

This can be none other than the Catholic church. Her priests are decked in purple, scarlet, and gold often. The only time they are arrayed in blue is in the worship of Mary, who they call “the Queen of all creation” according to Francis latest encyclical on climate change. Similar to the worship of “the Queen of heaven”, a strange god that was not of the true worship of God, and which God condemned. How has she FORGOTTEN the commandments? She has forgotten the very commandment that says to “REMEMBER”, by changing the Sabbath day which God made holy to the venerable day of the Sun, which is known as the Sun day, or Sunday. Sunday sacredness began, not with the Catholic church, but in ancient sun worship, and was adopted by the Christian church through compromising the plain statements of Scripture for an unlawful union with Pagans. Thus they went “a whoring” after the ways of the heathen.

The Papacy receives her throne in the hearts of the people, who have forgotten,or are ignorant, of the commandments and ways of God.

ENTHRONED ON THE DRAGON

Now the very same thing is spoken of in Revelation 13, that the woman, or the man of sin, receives her throne from the dragon.

Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

It is the dragon which gave the “seat” to the Papacy. And that is consistent imagery with the woman:

Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

What is that scarlet colored beast?

Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Scarlet colored beast has: seven heads, ten horns
Great red dragon has: seven heads, ten horns

Thus the woman rides the dragon. Thus she receives her seat from the dragon. So the same antichristian power is referred to in Revelation 13 as in 17.

JUDGMENT OF THE GREAT WHORE

We are shown several time elements in Revelation 17. The central focus of the time element is the very chief time element: the judgment of the great whore.
Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Judgment of the great whore= judgment of the Catholic church/those joined to her.

Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
A time period is here shown to give us a deeper understand of what time the “great whore” has this judgment upon her.

Five Mighty Kingdoms have fallen:
1. Babylon
2. MedoPersia
3. Greece
4. Pagan Rome
5. Papal Rome

These are the five fallen kingdoms. When did Papal Rome fall, and how does she receive her supremacy?

Let us take a look at the prophecy of the dragon that gave the Papacy the throne to begin with.

Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Notice that the throne and power were given to the Papacy. When was this throne and power given to the Papacy? The dragon, which is Satan, through the Roman Empire, gave the Papacy it’s throne, AND IN GIVING THAT THRONE, IT GAVE THE PAPACY POWER.

Power over what?

Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
He was given power over all the people: the “waters” upon which the woman sat in Revelation 17. And for how long until “Papal Rome” is considered fallen?

Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Prophetically, equating a day for a year, that would give us 1260 day/years. The Papacy received the throne of Rome in 538, through the aggressive enforcement of the Justinian Code which led to the Ostrogoths, who occupied the seat of Rome itself, being uprooted from the land, and being chased down and eventually exterminated as a race for their anti-trinitarian, Sabbathkeeping profession, which the Justinian Code was specifically against.

What happened in 1798, 1260 years later? The Papacy, who ruled during the dark period of 42 prophetic months, was taken captive by the general Berthier of France, by order of the Directory; who were responsible for the initial tyranny of the French Revolution.

Thus fall was prophesied of that beast.

Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; …

When did Papal Rome fall? When it’s head was wounded to death. When was this? 1798 when it lost it’s power over the kings of the earth.

But it is evident that the Papacy plays a large part as “the great whore” in the sixth kingdom, at which time we see her judgment coming in Revelation 17:1, 10.

The sixth kingdom is said to be the one after the five have fallen.

Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
We’ll examine what this sixth kingdom is more closely.

DEADLY WOUND HEALED

Although it says that the deadly wound happened, the prophecy doesn’t end there.
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Notice that we see that the deadly wound is healed. Thus the Papacy will regain her supremacy. What happens when this wound is healed? “all the world wondered after the beast”. Thus the “wondering” is a time element we can safely refer to as the time of her healing.

What does it mean that they are wondering?
Rev 17:8 …and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world…

Those who wonder are doing so because they are lost. This wondering after the Papacy that leaves men out of the book of life is also referred to as worship of the Papacy:
Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
The reason they worship the beast= the reason they wonder after the beast

They don’t receive the light and life of Christ. They don’t partake of the slain Lamb of God’s sacrifice.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Joh 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. Joh 5:41 I receive not honour from men. Joh 5:42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Those who do not receive Christ will receive a false Christ; thus they are lost, wondering, worshipping an antichristian power: the man of sin.

THE SIXTH KINGDOM

Who is the sixth kingdom, the one that “is”, upon which the great whore receives judgment?

After the fall of the Papal beast, who received a deadly wound, we see another kingdom rising up around the time of the deadly wound:
Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

The lamblike qualities of the kingdom that came up is nothing less than the Republic of the United States of America. By religious liberty, the constitution and the declaration of independence being the two “horns like a lamb” that give it power and strength among the nations of the world.

America’s founders knew well of the Papacy’s fall, and wanted America to be protected against her course of church/state union to prevent the dark ages from ever coming upon the earth again. America was to be a safe haven.

“If the Christian Religion as I understand it, or as you understand it, Should maintain its Ground as I believe it will; yet Platonick Pythagoric, Hindoo, and cabballistical Christianity4 which is Catholic Christianity, and which has prevailed for 1500 Years, has recd a mortal wound of which the Monster must finally die; yet So Strong is his constitution that he may endure for Centuries before he expires.” John Adams, to Thomas Jefferson.
John Adams was the 2nd president of the United States. He referenced the deadly wound as “a mortal wound”, and called Catholic Christianity by it’s pagan roots, calling it “Hindu Christianity”, or “Platonic Christianity.” Both Platonic philosophy and the Hindu religion hold the strongest belief in a Trinity, and this point will be important to understand as we understand the judgment of the great whore.
Further showing they knew these things, the father of the constitution, James Madison said the following:

“The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe with blood for centuries.” James Madison, 4^th president of the United States.
Despite knowing these things, America holds a prophecy that shows that the Papacy will be honored by her, and that America itself declines from it’s lamblike position, and it says it will “speak as a dragon” (v. 11).

Speaking of America’s decline, the Scripture tells us:

Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

It says that the beast after the fifth beast, the Papal beast, was fallen, that the sixth head of the dragon would be represented by America. It exercises the same power as it’s predecessor. What power is that?

Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Overcomes them

Power over kindreds, tongues, nations.
America also would be the voice for Satan on a world stage, and cause the whole world to worship the first beast. Thus that woman would be, in the time of America, honored in a certain sense as a goddess would be honored, even as “the Queen of heaven”.

And at what time does America have this power? When the first beast’s “deadly wound was healed.” Thus, as the world wonders after the Papacy, America herself, in this time of judgment, shows they are wondering after the Papacy. Showing that America herself has lost the lamblike principles she once had to exert the power of the dragon over people, nations, tongues, and people. If America is to cause the world to worship the first beast, which all the world wonders after, it is evident that America is foremost in wondering after her. America, who was once wise to the dangers of the Papal power, will be foremost among the nations of the world to honor her by causing the world to honor her in like manner. The prophecy is clear: AMERICA HAS BECOME LOST.
The dragon gave the power to the Papacy, which was the fifth that had fallen. The sixth exerting that same power is also from the dragon, which the woman is enthroned upon.

That brings us to the judgment of the great whore.

JUDGMENT OF THE GREAT WHORE

The judgment of the great whore is what we are here called to understand, because it is in the time we are living in, and many things are happening declaring that judgment is now ripe. Let us look at the name of the “great whore”.

Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Let us focus upon her names upon her forehead.
1) Mystery
2) Babylon the Great
3) Mother of harlots

There are many things that could be said about these names, but let us start with Babylon. She is called “Babylon” because the very religion which she professes is nothing less than originating from Babel many years ago. And regarding this point, we will address more shortly.

Let us fix our attentions on the judgment of “Babylon”, the “great whore.”

Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her…
Notice that she is fallen because the kings of earth have committed fornication with her.

As we noted earlier, those who are joined to a harlot are one body. One flesh. Just as a husband and wife are “one flesh.” Therefore, likening it to a marriage covenant, the kings of the earth are in covenant with the Papacy: and this is the evident reason for her fall. She enforces, through the kings of the earth, her doctrine. Thus the call “Babylon is fallen, is fallen” is declared.

Seeing that it is the time of America, the “one” that “is”, then America must in some way be in covenant with the Papacy. This brings about her causing all the world to worship her; thus through America, the deadly wound is definitely healed.

THE COVENANT: CHARISMATIC CHURCH/STATE

America is in covenant with the Papacy- forcing the religion of the Papacy on the lost- those who don’t keep the commandments of God. They will exercise the same power as the first beast: a church/state union. Speaking of America exercising such a power, it says:

Rev 13:13,14 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Protestant America, through compromise, has begun to speak as a dragon. The apostate Protestants, forsaking the principles of the Reformation, are now giving homage to the Papacy. Thus was developed the miracle-working Charismatic movement, which is becoming increasingly aggressive for a church/state union. They are following in the footsteps of the Papacy, thus can they also be called “harlots”, and the Papacy would be their mother.

Tony Palmer, the late-friend and partner of Kenneth Copeland ministries, announced that the Protestant reformation was over based on a misunderstanding of what the protest was about. He said “Maybe now, we are all Catholics again.”

This isn’t the only thing that is being said. Copeland, said that the very Charismatic movement’s miracle-working spirit, was begun by a prayer by a Pope in 1906 CE.

More than this, more Charismatics have united with the Papacy and have sought to enter into covenant with them. Thus, the Papacy is indeed “the mother of harlots”. The Charismatic Evangelicals are also aggressively pushing for church/state unity, foremost in the aggression is Rodney Howard-Browne, one of the leading Charismatic preachers.
And what are these Charismatics saying? They are saying nothing less than what the dragon has inspired them to speak. America is a government by the people, and the majority based upon popular vote, can choose to enact various laws, and this is exactly what we see the Charismatics doing. They are now both honoring the Papacy, and pushing for church/state union. Thus the saying is rapidly being fulfilled: “saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.”
An Image is a likeness. And a likeness to what? The Papacy in it’s exercise of the powers of the kings of the earth. Thus it is an image of the Papacy. In doing this, through the daughters of the Papacy, the Papacy is regaining her hold upon America. Thus, America will cause the world to worship the Papacy. America gives the throne back to the Papacy through her exercise of power.
THE WRITING ON THE WALL: BABYLON’S JUDGMENT

To better understand Babylon the Great’s judgment in the time of America, let us look at ancient Babylon’s judgment.

Daniel 5:1-5 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand. (2) Belshazzar…commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein. (3) Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them. (4) They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. (5) In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
Thus the writing on the wall was to bring judgment on Babylon for it’s wickedness. Belshazzar, king of Babylon, was the son of Nebuchadnezzar, who was judged by the God of heaven for his pride and rebellion. Belshazzar knew of the judgment of God, and still commenced to drink from the cups of the Sanctuary strong drink.
THE KINGDOM WEIGHED IN THE BALANCES: THE JUDGMENT OF BABYLON

Daniel both explained the significance of the handwriting, as well as why it came.

Daniel 5:18-28 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour: (19) And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down. (20) But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: (21) And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts…till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will. (22) And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this; (23) But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified: (24) Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written. (25) And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. (26) This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. (27) TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. (28) PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

Nebuchadnezzar’s son knew the judgment of his grandfather, but failed to glorify God, and profaned His holy things. Likewise, as we read earlier, America knew well of the Papacy’s ways, yet she will still follow in the same course in the time of judgment. America knowing of both the wickedness and the subsequent judgment of the Papacy is identical to how Belshazzar knew of the ways and judgment of his father.

Of Nebuchadnezzar, it says “for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages” (Daniel 5:19), and it says of the Papacy, that “power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” (Rev. 13:7) So nearly identical, also, is the language here presented. Despite all of this, by America’s influence, the Papacy will receive homage; thus America shows that she is nothing less than a daughter of the “great whore”, or a son of the Papal beast, whatever language might seem more fitting.
Likewise, we see the gospel going to “every nation, kindred, tongue, and people”, and a call to “fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come…”

Of Nebuchadnezzar’s judgment, he failed to give glory to God, and the writing upon the wall came because, as it was said to Belshazzar, “God….hast thou not glorified.”. Likewise, America fails to give glory to God, despite the call going forth at the “hour of His judgment.”
Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
The time when the “great whore” is to be judged, a call is given to give glory to Him. The “hour of His judgment” is a reference to the Day of atonement. Could the judgment of the “great whore”, in the days of fallen America, be included in this very thing?

The Day of atonement is the time of being weighed in the balances of the Sanctuary, and it a determination is there made if they are “found wanting.”

THE PAPACY: THE DAY OF ATONEMENT

In America, on September 24^th, in Washington, DC, the Jesuit Pope, Francis, will be addressing a joint-session in Congress at the Capitol building. In Article I of the Constitution, it describes the fearful duty of the House and Senate in Congress: “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” The House and Senate are equal partners in the legislative process—legislation cannot be enacted without the consent of both chambers. Thus the Papacy will address, in the very “heart of the nation’s capitol”, that is the heart of the United States (where she will speak as a dragon), the chief legislative powers of the United States. Such a thing in a Protestant government, based firmly on liberty of conscience could not have happened in times past, but is able to happen now, seeing as the deadly wound is speedily being healed.

It is nothing less than an evident token that the restraining Spirit of God is being withdrawn from America’s leading men, seeing as the Papacy is given such an opportunity to address such a power-wielding body in the United States. The Papacy could never stand in the heart had not the heart first become corrupt, carelessly laying aside the past. And what sign do we have that this holds the greatest significance in America? It is on the Day of Atonement: the judgment hour.

Moreover, the Jesuits have a dark record both in both politics and religion. They have not always been careful to keep the matters hidden, but have left enough evidence to suffice men to know that they seek to both subvert kingdoms and religions to bring them under the Papal influences and power.

“When appearing as members of their order, they wore a garb of sanctity, visiting prisons and hospitals, ministering to the sick and the poor, professing to have renounced the world, and bearing the sacred name of Jesus, who went about doing good. But under this blameless exterior the most criminal and deadly purposes were concealed. It was a fundamental principle of the order that the end justifies the means. By this code, lying, theft, perjury, assassination, were not only pardonable but commendable, when they served the interests of the church. Under various disguises the Jesuits worked their way into offices of State, climbing up to be the counselors of kings, and shaping the policy of nations. They became servants, to act as spies upon their masters. They established colleges for the sons of princes and nobles, and schools for the common people; and the children of Protestant parents were drawn into an observance of popish rites. All the outward pomp and display of the Romish worship was brought to bear to confuse the mind, and dazzle and captivate the imagination; and thus the liberty for which the fathers had toiled and bled was betrayed by the sons. The Jesuits rapidly spread themselves over Europe, and wherever they went, there followed a revival of popery.” {Great Controversy 1888 pg. 234}

The above description is especially true for Pope Francis, who has caused the world to look upon the Catholic church with wonder and admiration. Did the founding fathers of America know the dangers of the Jesuits and the risk they would pose to the nation? Yes.

John Adams frequently was in correspondence with Thomas Jefferson. In 1816, he wrote: “This society [Jesuits] has been a greater calamity to mankind than the French Revolution, or Napoleon‘s despotism or ideology. It has obstructed the progress of reformation and the improvement of the human mind in society much longer and more fatally.”

In May of 1816, he addressed his concerns regarding the revival of the Jesuit order:

“I do not like the late resurrection of the Jesuits. They have a general now in Russia, in correspondence with the Jesuits in the United States, who are more numerous than everybody knows. Shall we not have swarms of them here? In as many shapes and disguises as ever a king of the Gypsies-Bamfield Morecarew himself, assumed? In the shape of printers, editors, writers, schoolmasters, etc. I have lately read Pascal’s letters over again, and four volumes of the history of the Jesuits. If ever any congregation of men could merit eternal perdition on earth and in hell, according to these historians, though like Pascal true Catholics, it is this company Loyola. Our system, however, of religious liberty must afford them an asylum. But if they do not put the purity of our elections to a severe trial, it will be a wonder.”

In response to this, Thomas Jefferson replied on August 1^st, 1816:

“I dislike, with you, their restoration; because it marks a retrograde step from light to darkness.”

Also, in seeming prophetic foresight, a French General of George Washington said the following:

“It is my opinion that if the liberties of this country, the United States of America are destroyed, it will be by the subtlety of the Roman Catholic Jesuit priests, for they are the most crafty, dangerous enemies to civil and religious liberty. They have instigated MOST of the wars of Europe.” Marquis de LaFayette(1757-1834; French statesman and general who served in under the command of General George Washington during the American Revolutionary War)

Seeing the dangers of the Jesuits, and the Papacy, foreseen in America, how much more then should we see America’s great decline with a Jesuit Pope shall address the legislative body. Yet there is more than this that should signal warning to all of God’s children at this time.

THE PAPACY’S GOLDEN CUP

What brought the judgment to Babylon of old was nothing less than significant. It surrounded the disregard of Belshazzar, and desecrating the holy vessels. We’ve seen the connection between America, and how she causes all to worship the Papacy also. Let us look at the woman more closely:

Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a GOLDEN CUP in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Filthiness of her fornication indicates the covenant she has with the kings of the earth, enforcing religion that brought martyrdom to many of God’s people. So shall America follow in her footsteps, as she will have the “golden cup” in her hand, as a symbol of the cup that was in the hands of Belshazzar. Will America, to exalt the religious ideals of the Papacy, ignite a profanation of God’s holy things? Yes.

Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Thus we see Babylon’s judgment; she comes drinking the blood of the saints in the days of America. Notice how Babylon, through her fornication employs force:
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because SHE MADE ALL NATIONS DRINK of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
It is that same power that is now about to be exercised by America, just as the prophecies foretold. Only at that time is the “great whore” elevated by America to be enthroned for worship; through America’s influence the deadly wound is healed, and Papal supremacy is regained by this son of the beast. Thus, through America, the Papacy will have the golden cup in her hand, and martydom will be rekindled. It is at this time that judgment can come.

MARTYRDOM REKINDLED

The Scripture says precisely that at the time when this church/state image to the Papacy is enforced, that the dark ages will resume. Martyrdom commences. That time is right upon us. The Scripture speaks of the beheading of the people of God in the last days:

Rev 20:4 “…saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

The martyrs in America will be beheaded. This may to many seem impossible, but it is not.

Scripture is clear that this will happen. In fact, a well-known retired FBI agent, Ted Gunderson, said the following: “Why does the US government need 30,000 Guillotines and over 600 Million rounds of hollow point bullets?

There are over 800 prison camps in the United States. All fully operational and ready to receive prisoners. They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards. But they are all empty. These camps are to be operated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should Martial Law need to be implemented in the United States and all it would take is a presidential signature on a proclamation and the attorney general’s signature on a warrant to which a list of names is attached. Ask yourself if you really want to be on the list.”

Many things are now in place to declare that martial law will take place, and Ted Gunderson speaks of 30,000 guillotines in America, even now. How is this all possible? The Scripture declares that it will happen; that there will be martyrs in the time of America’s kingdom.

When God’s people suffer the fiercest persecution, it will be at the time when America causes all to worship the Papacy through exercising the same power that she exercised, and by this means, the golden cup is placed into her hands.

THE WRITING ON THE WALL

The writing on the walls of Babylon was a symbol of judgment. Likewise, in the time of America, do we see something to indicate “the judgment” has come? America in following the footsteps of the Papacy is pursuing a similar course to Belshazzar in exercising the same power as the kingdom that came before them. Doing this is nothing less than failing to glorify God with it’s privileges and opportunities, and setting up “the great whore”. We also saw that it is evident that the hour of His judgment would be signified by the day of atonement; thus the Papacy is coming to speak to Congress to commence this scene depicting the commencement of judgment.
BUT WHAT IS THE WRITING ON THE WALL???

Let us look at a video of the city of New York, because on it is a sign that holds many correlations to Revelation 17:

What you have seen in this video is a projection upon a wall of the Hindu goddess Kali at the height of New York city, looking upon the multitudes of people from the Empire State building. One of the tallest buildings in the United States. What correlations does the goddess Kali hold to Revelation 17? Much in many ways.

The Hindu goddess Kali’s name means “the black one” in Sanskrit. She is the goddess of death and destruction. She is known as “the dark mother”, and for having a thirst for blood. The “dark mother” is known in Hinduism as coming from “Mother Durga”, who is most often depicted as being enthroned upon a beast. She is known for her union with Shiva from which she derives her existence. Shiva is one third of the Trimurti (the Hindu Trinity); beside Brahma and Vishnu, Shiva is in the role of the destroyer. The purpose of “the destroyer” is to create a new order: or order out of chaos; thus Kali is but a manifestation of this very thing.

It is evident that Hinduism has a Trinity based upon their ancient Scriptures.

The Puranas [3000 Year old Hindu Scripture] says: “O ye three Lords! know that I recognize only one God. Inform me, therefore, which of you is the true divinity, that I may address to him alone my adorations.’ Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva replied, ‘[know] O devotee, that there is no real distinction between us. What to you appears such is only the semblance. The single being appears under three forms by the acts of creation, preservation, and destruction, but he is one.’

Now let us see the connections with Kali and the Papal harlot of Revelation 17.

1) Goddess/Woman worship:
*A Hindu goddess is worshipped; projected upon the wall of America.
*America causes all to worship that great harlot.

2)Goddess overlooks the city
*Harlot sits upon many waters (tongues, tribes, nations, people)
*America exercises the same rulership over the people as her mother, the Papacy.

3)Kali is known as Mother Durga
*The woman in Revelation 17 is called the “mother of harlots”

4) “Mother Durga” is often depicted riding a beast
*The great harlot is depicted as riding the dragon.

5)Kali is known for her thirst for blood.
*The “mother of harlots” drinks a golden cup, drunken with the blood of the martyrs.

6)Kali receives her authority from the Hindu Trinity.
*The mother of harlots exalts her god, the Trinity.

If you compare the Puranas with this statement from The Basic Catholic Catechism, by William G. Most, you would find it difficult to apprehend a great difference: “Perhaps the deepest, the most profound of all mysteries is the mystery of the Trinity. The Church teaches us that although there is only one God, yet, somehow, there are three Persons in God. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God, yet we do not speak of three Gods, but only one God. They have the same nature, substance, and being.”

All of Catholicism claims it’s doctrines from the foundation of the Trinity:
“The mystery of the Trinity is the central doctrine of the Catholic Faith. Upon it are based all the other teachings of the church…” Handbook for Today’s Catholic, p 11

7)The Trinity is vital in the woman’s power to destroy.
*The “mystery of the Trinity” is connected to the Papacy, as is denoted by her name “Mystery.”

8)Kali is of the Hindu religion
*John Adams rightly said that Catholicism is “Hindu Christianity”

9)Kali is on an American building
The woman sits upon the beast in the time of America

10)Kali represents the destroyer, and holds a sword in her hand which she uses to destroy.
The Papacy, in Revelation 13, uses the power of the state as her “sword” to make war with God’s people.

11)Kali holds in her hand a head, as well as a chain of heads around her neck of her victims.
The power exercised by America in making an image to the Papacy will behead God’s people.

There are sufficient connections with the “dark mother” and the “mother of harlots” to see they are writing upon the wall of the Empire State building is nothing less than a declaration that the time of judgment, and the scenes depicted in Revelation 17 are right upon us. The depiction of the goddess Kali on the wall in connection to the woman of Revelation 17 is declaring that the writing on the wall is nigh at hand.

A FIERCE AVATAR: A PERSECUTING POWER

One post said something of serious importance. “Andrew Jones designed the fierce portrait of Kali, who is the Goddess of Time, Change, Power and Destruction, to make the point that Mother Nature now more than ever needs a fierce avatar to fight the dangers of pollution and extinction.”

What is an avatar? In Hindu mythology, an avatar is “the descent of a deity to the earth in an incarnate form or some manifest shape; the incarnation of a god.” It can also be defined as “an embodiment or personification, as of a principle, attitude, or view of life.”
Mother nature needs an avatar to represent it “the dark mother” Kali, yet equally true is that the avatar of “the dark mother” is well represented by the “mother of harlots.”

Thus will the Papacy be utilized to represent “mother nature” in a “fierce” manner. And when will the Papacy do this? On the day following the Day of Atonement, September 24^th, the Pope will address the Sustainable Development Summit in the United Nations in New York.

An archbishop of the Catholic church said regarding this meeting, that “Practically all of the heads of states and governments will be around and they will all be there on that day, so if the Pope were to finalize this visit to the U.S. that means that he would address all the heads of states and of governments, who will be sitting with their official delegations,”

The “mother of harlots” not only sits enthroned and worshipped during the world power of America, but it also says that she commits “fornication with the kings of the earth.”

Pope Francis, before the United Nations on September 25^th, will address the need for a thorough global initiative to become unitedly aggressive against global warming. The elite has long sought to usher in a reform of an agenda to bring about a new world order. Agenda 21, under the name Sustainable Development, is doing that very thing. The United Nations has this to say on their website about the agenda:

“2015 is the year when countries will shape and adopt a new development agenda that will build on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).” http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/development-agenda/

“The United Nations is now in the process of defining Sustainable Development Goals as part a new sustainable development agenda that must finish the job and leave no one behind. This agenda, to be launched at the Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015, is currently being discussed at the UN General Assembly, where Member States and civil society are making contributions to the agenda.”

Why is this agenda so startling? In it is a plan to bring laws that are beyond borders. A legislative power that is giving the Papacy a forum. In addition to addressing climate change, it also sets ambitious goals for areas such as economics, health, energy, education, agriculture, gender equality and a whole host of other issues.

““All countries and all stakeholders, acting in collaborative partnership, will implement this plan…”

“The 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets which we are announcing today demonstrate the scale and ambition of this new universal Agenda. They seek to build on the Millennium Development Goals and complete what these did not achieve. They seek to…achieve gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. They are integrated and indivisible and balance the three dimensions of sustainable development: the economic, social and environmental.”

And in the very last days, we read of the Papacy that they will have power over the treasures of gold, and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt.

Daniel 11:43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
Yet with the United States itself, a much greater crisis awaits it. Much like with the goddess Kali, those under Satanic dominion are even now planning to bring this new order after a time of created chaos. Much like the World Trade Centers were thrown down, only to erect the “One World Trade Center”, even so will the Republic of the United States cease to exist, that a new order may be ushered in. America will be the one to bring the crisis to the entire world, and the Papal religion will not merely play a small part in it.

One popular environmentalist’s posts that is being shared widely had some startling statements regarding what the Fierce Avatar on the Empire State buildings mean:

“Perhaps it is even too late now, perhaps only calamity can make us silence the ego and hear the cries of the World Soul, perhaps destruction must be our baptism into change, but this is the time and we are the ones summoned to be the shamans of the Shift.

Never underestimate the power of holy darkness to reveal the Soul of all matters. The dark is where illusions are shattered, where false certainties are broken; the dark is where the mind is cut off so that only the heart can see… It is time to let holy darkness be our medicine. The world as we know it must change or perish…

If there was ever a sign of the times, this is it. In our bones we all recognize, we are in the death pangs of the old world, and that we make it through is anything but certain…

It is time to get our Kali on inside and out; to cut off the head and commit to the heart on all levels…

The quickening of the New Earth is upon us and what is needed now is the fierceness of Ma Kali. A holy oracle of change, her medicine is darkness, her initiation is by fire…”

Interestingly, America is marked for bringing making “fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast.” (Rev. 13:13-14)

Much like the blood drinking mother of Revelation 17, Kali was often denoted for a plan for mass human sacrifice. In Indiana Jones: The Temple of Doom, it depicts human sacrifices to Kali.

America, in preparing for martial law, is following the course of the old Roman Empire, who came to exalt the Papacy. Nothing less shall be witnessed in the scenes that are soon to break upon the earth.

To human wisdom all this now seems impossible; but as the restraining Spirit of God shall be withdrawn from men, and they shall be under the control of Satan, who hates the divine precepts, there will be strange developments. The heart can be very cruel when God’s fear and love are removed. Great Controversy, page 608

Daniel 7: The Rise & Fall of Antichrist

For a context for this article, it is highly recommended that you read the first part of this three-part series.

1) It arises amongst the divisions of Western Europe/Roman Empire.
2) It must rise after 476CE, when Rome was divided.
3) It’s rise to power includes uprooting three other kingdoms that stand in it’s way.
4) A man would represent this kingdom, claiming to have great authority over the kings of the Roman empire.
5) He is a different kind of king than the traditional political authority of the other kings.
6) He claims to have the authority that belongs to God.
7) He makes war with the saints who keep God’s laws.
8) He thinks to change times and laws of God’s government.
9) He reigns for 1260 years.

These points must be fulfilled to identify the anthchristian little horn power. Again, to have more detail on these nine points, and an abundance of Scriptural testimony, it is best to refer you to the first part of this three-part series.

The Antichrist Power revealed…

If antichrist was a giant political figure that everyone recognized as demanding the worship of Satan and having a hitler-esque demeanor, it would not be deceiving to many sincere but mislead Christians. Although nine characteristics have been revealed from this power, still more characteristics are necessary to understand what happened in the Roman Empire to cause the rise of this power.

The apostles all saw concerns coming in amongst those who received Christ’s sacrifice. He is the “Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world” (John 1:29); He was called the Lamb, because anciently, the Hebrew people looked forward to the deliverance from sin by the Messiah-to-come, and to demonstrate their faith in His coming, they would sacrifice lambs, bulls, and goats. Yet “it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.” (Heb. 10:4) Yet most of the Israelites lost the meaning of their sacrifices, and had faith in those sacrifices to take away sins instead of the One to whom they pointed. And what is sin? The apostle John tells us that “sin is the transgression of the law.” (1 John 3:4)

The truth: Christ’s sacrifice and the law of God cannot be separated

The very law that the little horn would think to change was the law of God’s government; thus it would enforce a new law via the kings of Europe, and turn many away from the law of the true God; thus making of no effect the sacrifice of Christ. Christ, foreseeing what would come, declared:

“Do not think that I’ve come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

He then compared those who would “think” He came to abolish the law of God with the “righteousness” of the scribes and the pharisees (the religious class of people in Jerusalem): “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 5:20)

These men had taught that it was acceptable to “break one of these least commandments”; “Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.” Christ told them, fulfilling the Scripture in Isaiah, “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

The antichrist power would make of no effect the commandments of God by their traditions; and profess with their mouths that they worship Him, but like the religious people of Christ’s day, are in fact crucifying Him over again in breaking the law. The Bible declares this as the righteousness of man (Rom. 10:3), while the law of God reveals the righteousness of God (Isaiah 51:6,7), which God says “will not be abolished [destroyed].”

THE GREAT FALLING AWAY IN THE CHURCH

The apostle Paul had studied the prophecies carefully. He saw the rise of the antichrist coming from Rome, and how he would think to change the law of God, and was troubled. God even kept on record three such warnings for us that a great falling away would occur in the Christian church.

“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:29-31)

The Christian church was to be compromised by a foreign power, previously unknown to it. Paul said Christ would not return until the work of this power had been fully accomplished: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” (2 Thes. 2:3)

Paul, seeing the little horn as changing the law of God which exposes sin, called him “the man of sin”, revealed in the church by “a falling away”; and the son of perdition (literally, of destruction, ruin, or loss). Going to greater lengths, he goes to the very church at the heart of the conflict that would come, and writes to them regarding to gospel of Christ, which restores the law’s rightful place in the heart of the believer. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;… For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Rom. 1:16-17) He continues further, and declares that those who believe in the effectual power of Christ’s sacrifice, have sin “condemned in the flesh [our flesh]”, “that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:3,4) He then warns the church in Rome not to become absorbed in worldly affairs, having their minds on this world and losing sight of the gospel, it’s power, and heavenly realities. “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” (Romans 8:6-7) Paul realized that the trouble was to arise in the church that was in Rome, that they would “think” against the law of God by supposing to hold some great authority to alter His commands. Paul emphasizes the words of Christ, that He came to “fulfill” the law, and not to destroy it.

In addition to the nine points, the tenth is this:

10) He came as the result of a falling away of the Christian church

ONE FINAL CHARACTERISTIC

One final characteristic must be mentioned, and then the identity cannot be mistaken to any honest child of God. To understand this point, we will examine another view of the characteristics of the little horn power of Daniel 7, from another prophecy in the Bible.

The tokens of paganism are found in the little horn power…

“And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” (Revelation 13:2)

This beast has all the parts of the pagan kingdoms brought into one unique and diverse kingdom that the little horn’s rise to power in the divided Roman empire. It has the body of the leopard, symbolized by Bacchus, the Greek god. It has feet that walk in the laws of sun worship found in Media-Persia. It has the mouth of Babylon’s lion, having Babylon at the heart of it’s religion. And he is honored by being given the dragon’s throne (“seat”) of the Roman Empire; which seeks to devour God’s true children, who like Chronos, the chief deity of Rome, that devoured his own children and controlled time. The dragon, also symbolizing Satan’s rebellious kingdom, would presumptiously pass the “great authority” of having “power” and authority to “change times and laws” to this kingdom who sits upon the throne of the Roman empire.

Thus pagan elements are infused into this little horn kingdom so definitely.
Further proof that the little horn and this beast are one and the same. Here are four characteristics that match perfectly:

A MOUTH AGAINST GOD

WAR WITH THE SAINTS

of time (half a year- 6 months) [1260 prophetic days/years]. (v. 25)

AGAINST THE GOSPEL- KEEPS AWAY SALVATION FROM SIN
4) “all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose                      4) “he shall think to change times and laws…”
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb” (v. 8)

***The Lamb is Christ which saves from sin. Antichrist is the religious power from the church in Rome that changes the laws which reveal the sins needing to be saved from.

THE REVELATION OF THE LITTLE HORN

The ONLY power in all of history that fulfills all 11 of these points clearly, and definitely, is the Roman Catholic Papacy.

For some, it may be hard to believe that the Roman Catholic Papacy is antichrist, and at first glance, that may be understandable. However, when examining more closely, there are clear evidences which we will show for exactly why this is true. In the early Christian church, there was a falling away. It began at the time of pagan emperor Constantine’s “conversion” to Christianity. He began to shower favors upon the Christian church, and his counselors that it was God’s will to give them both advantages by removing the need to pay taxes, and also to give the church more land. The preference thus shown to Christianity, unconverted pagans walked into the church, and introduced paganism into Christianity; mingling it. Constantine sought to unite the pagans and the Christians, and those Christians who were already departing from the precepts given in the law of God were the most favorable to uniting with paganism. The falling away, while plaguing the entire Christian movement, was most advanced from the church in Rome, which Paul expressly counselled.

The most subtle form of deception which will deceive the whole world is a Christianized form of paganism, that has made this world it’s kingdom. Does this mean all the Roman Catholics are lost? No. In fact, Jesus said, “other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” (John 10:16) Jesus tells us that He has other sheep, who are in other parts of the world, who do not know see the truth, but when they hear the truth, they will leave their errors and their former teachers & leaders, and like the disciples of Christ, go and follow Him.

Now let’s examine these points, and trace their fulfillment in the rising of this power:
1) He is a different kind of king than the traditional political authority of the other kings.
The Papacy was given the name Pontifex Maximus (the great bridgebuilder) because that was the name given to the pagan high priests who were appointed by the Roman Emperor. The Pope is diverse from the other kings because he is both a political and religious figure. The Pontifex Maximus duties were to consecrate temples of their gods, to regulate calendar observances, and regulating public morals, and fining and punishing offending parties. To this day, the Papacy claims the title as Pontifex Maximus. He built bridges from Christianity to unite with Paganism, and for Christianity to be established as a political force in this world, contrary to the will and plan of God. The bridges thus built were nothing less than converting Christianity to the world, and concealing it’s true character of paganism.

1) He thinks to change times and laws of God’s government.
One of the most remarkable prophecies in the entire Bible is that the antichrist claims to have authority to change the times of worship and laws of God. It is commonly understood that the early Christians did in fact worship on the times found in the law of God. Those times were as follows:

The Papacy adopted the pagan sabbath, which was Sunday, the traditional day of sun worship. This they freely admit:

“…pastoral intuition suggested to the Church the christianization of the notion of Sunday as “the day of the sun”, which was the Roman name for the day and which is retained in some modern languages.(29) This was in order to draw the faithful away from the seduction of cults which worshipped the sun, and to direct the celebration of the day to Christ, humanity’s true “sun”.” John Paul II, Dies Domini, 27. The day of Christ-Light, 1998 (Prominent protestant leaders agree with this statement – See here for a statement by Dr. E. T. Hiscox, author of the ‘Baptist Manual’)

The pagans who flooded the entrance of the church were converted originally by the church converting to their laws. In an old Catholic Catechism, it is even more pronounced:

“Q. What is Sunday, or the Lord’s Day in general?

A. It is a day dedicated by the Apostles to the honour of the Most Holy Trinity…. It is also called Sunday from the old Roman denomination of Dies Solis, the day of the sun, to which it was sacred.” The Douay Catechism, (An Abridgment of the Christian Doctrine) of 1649

How could they do this? They “think to change times and laws” because they “think” they have such authority to change them. Additionally, a triune understanding of God, where three divine beings were united in one divine nature, immortal, without beginning and end, was adopted to help pagans who were accustom to the triunity of divine beings in various pagan religions. These concessions from the church brought a unity between pagans and Christians that before this time would have been near impossible. This is in perfect harmony with the pagan beasts all being represented in the Catholic beast, which takes in the pagan doctrines.

2) He claims to have the authority that belongs to God.

Authority over kings: “the Pope enjoys, by divine institution, supreme, full, immediate, and universal power in the care of souls.” 937, Catechism of the Catholic Church (1997) What does “universal power” mean?  It means power over kings for the sake of making converts, for “the common good of society”.

Infallability: What the Pope speaks in Encylical writings are legally and conscience-bound to the Christian particularly, and to the non-Christian without exception. It teaches that the Pope’s words cannot be wrong. Ex Cathedra is a Papal doctrine which teaches that “when, in the exercise of his office [the Pope] as shepherd and teacher of all Christians, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, (the Bishop of Rome) defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church.” It teaches then that the Pope cannot be in error in faith or morals.

Authority to change God’s law: “Protestants … accept Sunday rather than Saturday as the day for public worship after the Catholic Church made the change… But the Protestant mind does not seem to realize that … in observing Sunday, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the Church, the pope.” Our Sunday Visitor, February 5th, 1950

2) It must rise after 476CE, when Rome was divided into ten parts.

It arises amongst the divisions of Western Europe/Roman Empire.
It’s an interesting fact that the Papacy did rise at this time. After Constantine’s conversion in the fourth century, the prophesied falling away began to move swiftly; and with every step further into error, the greater favor it grew with the kingdoms of Rome.

It’s interesting to note that the Papacy’s political advancements began with the conversion of Constantine, and after this time, the Papacy’s rise to political favor grew more and more as it became more entrenched in the principles of paganism. It was not until 508 that the first war was waged in the name of a Catholic church/state, and it was not until 538 that the Papacy actually received the throne of the Roman empire itself, to exercise authority over the kings of Europe.

3) It’s rise to power includes uprooting three other kingdoms that stand in it’s way.
The Papacy uprooted three of the ten kings who had stood in it’s way, thus fulfilling the prophecy: “For the mystery of iniquity is already at work: only he who now restrains will restrain [him], until he is taken out of the way.” (2 Thes. 2:7) These three restraining forces were signs to the Christian church of the prevailing corruption and the growing power of the Pope over the kings of the earth. The restraints were imposed by three Sabbath-keeping, non-Trinitarian kingdoms. Both the Trinity and Sunday-keeping, in the place of Sabbath and the worship of the true God, were fundamental teachings of Catholic Christianity.
i) The Visigoths: In 508, the first of these kingdoms was rooted out of it’s land by church/state authority. It was the united France, under Clovis, a pagan-king who converted to Catholicism, that declared war in the name of the church. The Visigothic people, standing in the way of France and her Catholic teachings, ran her into the corners of Europe, where she began to be swallowed up by Catholicism at last.
ii) The Vandals: In 533, the zealously Catholic emperor Justinian overcame the Vandals, and issued a decree, declaring all were to submit to the Pope, to the Most Holy Trinity, and to assume the name Catholic.
iii) The Ostrogoths: In 538, the Ostrogothic kingdom occupied the land of Rome itself. It had constantly shifted hands, and for some years, it was in the hands of Sabbathkeeping Christians. Justinian, through his general Belisarius, entered into Rome, and overcame the Ostrogoths, who were slowly hunted and exterminated. It was at this time, after the final restaint was removed at last, that Justinian delivered the throne of Rome into the hands of the Papacy, to exercise authority over Europe’s kings.

4) A man would represent this kingdom, claiming to have great authority over the kings of the Roman empire.
It is evident as we have seen, that this was remarkably and unmistakenly fulfilled only by the Pope of Rome.

7) He makes war with the saints who keep God’s laws.
After receiving this authority over the kings of the earth, those who kept the laws of God, first the Visigoths, Vandals, and Ostrogoths, and then the persecuting the people progressively more and still more.
9) He reigns for 1260 years.
It was from the time of 538CE that the Papacy took Rome, when Justinians’ General, Belisarius, overtook Rome, until 1798CE, when Napoleon’s General, Berthier, entered into Italy, into the Vatican, and took the Pope captive, and restored the Roman republic to the people. While the Popes maintained a somewhat spiritual influence, their political influence was wholly crushed underfoot. The Church had long used the sword of the state to overcome her opposers, now the prophecy regarding the Catholic beast was fulfilled: “I saw one of it’s heads, as it were, wounded to death…He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” (Rev. 13:10)

Having so long forced the people to submit to her rule or face the sword, now the sword of France, the eldest daughter of the Catholic church, was to be her worst opposer, and force her into submission. However, the prophecy does not end there for the antichrist, because antichrist, as revealed in the Papacy, has a grand final work before the end of the world.

Unlocking Malachi: The Gems of Jerusalem

“The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel” through Malachi was that the lessons of the past be not forgotten and that the covenant made by Jehovah with the house of Israel be kept with fidelity. Only by heartfelt repentance could the blessing of God be realized.” Prophets & Kings, pg. 705

There were two classes of priests/individuals in the book of Malachi.

1. 1. Those that feared God, and “serve Him” in truth.
2. 2. Those that did not fear Him, and “serve Him not.” (See Malachi Chapters 2 & 3)

In the days of Malachi the prophet, we read about these two classes of priests in the book of Ezra. Now Ezra was the son of Zadok, the son of Phineas, the son of Aaron, the high priest. Why is this point important? Because Phineas entered into an everlasting covenant “for the fear wherewith he feared Me.” During the time when Balaam cast a stumblingblock before Israel, to eat things sacrificed to strange gods, many of the men of Israel were seduced into joining to the idolatrous worship of the gods of the heathen religions. They united themselves with women of these idolatrous nations, and forgot the statute expounding the principles of the first commandment which declares:

“Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee: But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.” (Exodus 34:12-16)

So through the prophet Balaam’s wickedness, this snare came to Israel. Much of Israel in the days of Balaam joined themselves to the sun worshippers of Baal (Numbers 25:3-5, Revelation 3:14)

“And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly (where children are conceived). So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel. And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace. And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood (the priesthood of Melchizedek- the everlasting covenant- See Ezekiel 44:15,48:11); because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.” (Numbers 25:7-13)

A “covenant of peace” was made with Phineas, and to his seed. Ezra the priest, the son of Phineas, saw the faithfulness of that covenant from a God who cannot lie (Titus 1:2), and of him, we are told that Ezra “had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.” (Ezra 7:10; compare Malachi 2:6)

In the days of Malachi, there was an apostasy akin to the sun worship of Baalpeor. It says “Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.

And they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives by the first day of the first month.” (Ezra 10:16-17)

It was by this cleansing that the iniquity of Israel was purged. In Malachi, this prophecy was given: “And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

“My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips (See Revelation 14:4-5): he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 2:4-7; compare Numbers 25:7-13)

We are told that a priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and that the law of truth should be found at his mouth, being the messenger of the Lord of hosts. Not only are we brought to Phineas’ faithful example, and the covenant of peace made with him, but we are brought also to the Levites, from who Phineas and Ezra sprang, who would not worship the false gods of Egypt at Mount Horeb, and were committed by God with the priesthood, and the law of God, in which was shadowed the gospel.

We are told that there is another class of priest/individual in the Scripture:

“And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.” (Malachi 2:1-2)

The priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and the pronouncement of life and blessing would be with them:

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

However, it says of these priests, that they would not give glory to God, and were cursed, even their seed:

“Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.” For their doings that were corrupt before God, they are reproved, and told that the covenant of peace, and the law of truth is not with them, but is with His messengers, with Levi; the sons of Phineas, the sons of Zadok. He says instead of blessing and life, that their seed would live, that they would be cursed.

“But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law. (Malachi 2:8-9)

To this, they then respond: “Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?” (Malachi 2:10) to which the reply is given clearly: “Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.”

The messenger of the Lord of hosts, who had the law of truth and the everlasting covenant, was to turn people back to the law of the Lord.

“Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 3:1)

How will this way be prepared?

“Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet (“the messenger of the Lord of hosts”) before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. (Malachi 4:4-6)

Elijah was not only to restore hearts to the knowledge of the true God, but would cause the blessing of life, the covenant of peace, to be restored to Israel, making an atonement for Israel, “to turn away the wrath of the Lord God”, as Phineas did, to “turn many away from iniquity” (Mal. 2:6) and turn their hearts back to the true worship of God.

The relationship of an ecumenical society representing a nearly a quarter of the world’s population

The Message is For Today:

“What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” (1 Corinthians 6:6-7)

There could be no countenance with those who married the daughters of strange gods. Even today, there are many who say, “Don’t we all serve the same God? Isn’t He the Father of us all? Aren’t we all Abraham’s seed?” To many who make a profession of being united with Christ, but have made a marriage covenant with the inhabitants of the land, as many as doing through ecumenical relationships with the “mother of Harlots”, and as truly worship another god as did the Israelites of old. Likewise, there are many today which trample underfoot the law of Moses, with it’s statutes and judgments, which have the blessing of life pronounced upon the keeping of them in the gospel. It is the Elijah message which is the message of the everlasting covenant made with Abraham (Gen. 14-18, Romans 3, Galatians 4:22-29), which turns aside the curse, which declares: “Cursed is the man that confirmeth not all the words written in this law to do them.” (Deut. 27:26) The Elijah message is a call to repentance for trampling upon the good statutes of our God and Father, and not walking in His ways. Lastly, the Elijah message is a call to turn from false worship the the true worship, from the false gods, to the only True God.

God is purifying His messengers that prepare the way, that they may offer an offering in righteousness which He is holy and acceptable. (Mal. 3:3)

The Elijahs of today will repair the breaches made in the law through the covenant made with the inhabitants of the land, and through the worship of false gods, and call others into this message of reconcilation with our Father in heaven through the Son of God, and His everlasting gospel; fearing Him, as the prophecy declares the priests have feared Him, to remember His law, and to “give glory to His name” (Malachi 2:2, Revelation 14:7).

Here is the message of Malachi, the message of Elijah: “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Revelation 14:6-7

Such a reverential fear is manifested in the hearts of the messengers toward the law of God in the Elijah Message, that he seeks to restore others to the blessings contained in the everlasting gospel, that the curse of sin will no longer triumph in both the lives of individuals, and in their families; that the cleansing of the sanctuary might be made (Malachi 3:2-4), and a sure atonement is made for Israel (Comp. Leviticus 16, Numbers 25:13).

With those who fear the Lord and His law, we are given this promise in the Scriptures:

“Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. (Malachi 3:16-18)

But to those who are otherwise, we read a repeat of the curse to those priests who were partial in the law, not fearing God, and not speaking often together one with another, not having God in all their thoughts, not considering His name & blessings:

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea 4:6)

God has ever promised the blessing of life to those that remember Him and keep His ways, to them and their seed after them: (Exodus 20:4 [Exo.31:13-17], Deuteronomy 16:3, 8:18, 8:2)

“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” (Malachi 4:2)

These are promised: “They shall be Mine, in the day when I make up My gems”, and are likened unto “a son” that “serveth” his father. Only when we worship God our Father in Spirit and in Truth, can He call us sons that serve Him. There are those who claim that He is their Father, but they “serveth Him not” (Mal. 3:18), nor is “the law of truth in his mouth.” (Mal. 2:6) Therefore he is as Esau (Mal. 1:2-6), who is truly a child of Abraham his father after the flesh, but not after the Spirit, selling off the covenant of promise, and is accursed, entering into marriage covenant with the daughters of strange gods, and drinking from their communion cup.

So who are these who are gems, who fear God, and remember His eternal power and Godhead, reverencing His law? They are a “royal priesthood” (1 Pet. 2:9), children of the Lamb’s bride, the New Jerusalem, who is “the mother of us all” (Galatians 4:26):

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” (Revelation 21:2)

To those who receive this message, they will be the adornments of the Lamb’s wife.

“For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours (the covenant), and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children (compare Psalm 119:165). In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.” (Isaiah 54:5, 11-14)

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered (which was accursed, not subject to the law), nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice (“the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart” Psalm 19:8) for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.” (Isaiah 65:17-19)

Those who have this gospel are those who fear God and keep His commandments. In remembering the law of Moses, they gather together from one Sabbath to another, and from one new moon to another (See Isaiah 66:23, Ezekiel 46:1), to worship the King, the LORD of hosts (See Zechariah 14:16). He is the One that makes them holy; so is everyone holy that is a gem that adorns the Holy Jerusalem.

“Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they might have right to the tree of life, and enter in through the gates of the city.” Revelation 22:14

In the blessings given in the statutes, there were blessings given at certain seasons for the development of His people, and to protect them from idolatry. After the admonition to keep from turning aside to other gods, there was given the command to gather in the place of God’s own choosing (Exodus 34:18-23, also see John 4:21-23, Hebrews 12:22), those that fear God, and think upon His name were called to gather on new moons, Sabbaths, and annual festivals of God’s own appointing.

“God gave direction to the Israelites to assemble before Him at set periods, in the place which He should choose, and observe special days wherein no unnecessary work was to be done, but the time was to be devoted to a consideration of the blessings which He had bestowed upon them.” 2Testimonies 573

“Anciently the Lord instructed His people to assemble three times a year for His worship. To these holy convocations the children of Israel came… They met to recount God’s mercies, to make known His wonderful works, and to offer praise and thanksgiving to His name.” 6 Testimonies 39

“The Lord saw that these gatherings were necessary for the spiritual life of His people. They needed to turn way from their worldly cares, to commune with God, and to contemplate unseen realities.

If the children of Israel needed the benefit of these holy convocations in their time, how much more do we need them in these last days of peril and conflict! And if the people of the world then needed the light which God had committed to His church, how much more do they need it now!” 6T, pg. 40

This point was so vital, that the apostle exhorted the Hebrew believers in Christ:

“…forsaking not the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

Them That Fear His Name:

To those who give the call to fear God, and give Him glory, this is the fear He calls us to:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth forever.” Psalm 111:10

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding” Proverbs 9:10

Pro 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Pro 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

“Fear God, and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecc. 12

To the priests who not fear God, and do not keep His commandments, He has said, “Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” “Behold, I will corrupt your seed…” (Mal. 2:3)

Healing the Deadly Wound: The Rising Again of the Little Horn

The Bible tells us that the little horn will be revived…

The little horn power of the seventh chapter of Daniel is absolutely synonymous with the power of the beast who received a deadly wound which “was healed”. It is more evident that this healing should be evidenced by the fact that “all the world wondered after the beast”.

Now, that these powers are the same is abundantly evident.

Of the little horn, the Scripture says:
Dan 7:21  “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;”
Of that beast whose wound is healed, it says:
Revelation 13:7 “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them.”

The saints are identified as those who “keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.” (Rev. 14:12) Therefore, to make war with the saints is to make war with Jesus, who alone can make men saints, it is also a declaration of war on the law of God which the saints uphold.

That this power of the beast and the little horn is one and the same cannot be denied. Both are given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, while also continuing for the same space of time:

Daniel 7:25  “And he shall speak great words against the most High… and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time (1260 years).”

Revelation 13:5  “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months (1260 years).”

The language employed is so exactly the same for both powers, therefore, to employ the same principles is

only fitting. since at the expiration of the prophetic period in which the beast was to receive a deadly wound, so then the little horn was to be judged in exactly the same manner in the expiry of it’s prophetic period. However, in the account of the beast who received this deadly wound, this is unmistakable language: “the deadly wound was healed, and all the world wondered after the beast.”

The Papacy, at the termination of her political conquests over the kings of the earth lasted a complete 1260 years, from the time of 538CE to 1798CE. So perfectly described: she made war with the saints; so definitely recorded in history did she make void the law of God, trampling it underfoot. Her mouth commanded itself above the consciences of men, employing force over that which alone God is to have dominion over, and who Himself does not force the will. 

And so surely this power lost it’s kingly throne just as the mouth of God declared in 1798, but the Scripture also tell us that the deadly wound would be healed, and that must mean an absolute undoing of the thing which the deadly wound consisted of. And of these things, there are many elements we may cite, but the affects of it’s healing would be evident: all the world wonders after the beast. And because Scripture so strikingly tells us that the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, there must be a definitively united confederacy between the Papacy and the governments of the world.

THE LATERAN TREATIES
Since the deadly wound lost the political influence and power over the kings of the earth, the healing of the wound would reverse this with the sign of governments awestruck by the Papacy. If we would understand something of the Papal healing, we should study it’s rising progression to power also.

It was by France that the Papacy had her beginning rise to power, but it would not be complete in France, because France was of the Roman Empire, but it was not that empire. France was the first kingdom to give credence to the Papal authority, and so influential was France upon the Roman Empire that many kingdoms quickly began to be taken under the Papal banner. The Scripture declares this prophecy clearly as France gave it’s power to be wielded by Catholicism:

Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

“Arms” refer to the army which the Papal conquests began with, and they polluted the sanctuary of strength by making war against God’s commandment keeping people; the very commandments enshrined in that sanctuary in heaven; the very foundation of God’s. This church and state union was finalized in 508CE when the Sabbathkeeping Visigothic nation was subdued and forced to convert to Catholicism, and driven to a small corner of modern-day Spain to avoid absolute extinction. This was called “the abomination of desolation”. This was not part of the 1260 year prophetic period, because it was 30 years earlier that the Catholic church had received the whole Roman Kingdom. Yet of this abomination of desolation, the prophetic period was a certain 1290 years:

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

From the time that France converted to Papalism, it now began to gain power over the kingdoms with rapid speed. France was the entering in of the Papal power, and from this point forward, influence was gained until 30 years later, the Roman empire was secured. This was the rising of the power of the Papal beast who received it’s deadly wound at the end of the prophetic periods stated above.

The Lateran Treaty was not the full healing of the deadly wound, but only the beginning…

Now, the deadly wound meant a loss of power. And if we understand the beginning of those prophetic periods upon which that Papal beast received it’s power, we might understand what is required for it to again secure that same power again. Since it only needed influence in one kingdom to eventually have power over the whole Roman empire, even so it only needed the influence of one kingdom to begin healing the deadly wound. The rise to power in the Papacy’s birth was also to be a sign of it’s rise to power again in it’s revival. Such a revival is not insignificant, seeing as the Papacy is so fundamentally laid open in prophecy for being the most cruel and deceptive of the Satanic masterpieces of death and desolation to the whole earth. For such a revival to occur, it can mean nothing less than it’s rise to power, but in fact, it can only mean far worse.

But when was such a door to revival to be opened to the Papacy? It was in 1929 at the signing of the Lateran Treaty. The Lateran Treaty was a concord agreement between Mussolini and the Catholic church which would grant the Catholic church to become it’s own state power in Italy. This land that was afforded to the church was the Vatican, the place where St. Peter’s Basilica was built through the blasphemous sponsorship program of Papal indulgences which spearheaded the Protestant Reformation to go forward. Yet despite having secured the privileges of being it’s own government, this was not the complete healing of the deadly wound any more than France’s conversion to Catholicism was the fullness of the Papal beast’s power, but it was merely the beginning of it’s healing.

But with such a small land, what influence could the Catholic church be? It could be much influence in every way as pertaining to governmental affairs. The Catholic church becoming it’s own state power, it now could hold diplomatic ties to the other nations of the world. No longer did the Catholic church need to represent itself as merely an ecclesiastical authority, but could now have diplomatic relations on a political level with the governments of the world. From the time of 1929 to the present time, the Vatican has more than 175 embassies with Papal nuncios (ambassadors for the Vatican) living on government premises. What does this mean? It means that representatives of the Vatican have been planted upon nearly every country in the world to represent the Vatican at a close, intimate level with the particular government wherever the nuncios are present. The purpose of these relations cannot be undermined, for by them, not only does the Pope and his representatives hold close communication with the leaders in government, but wields influences and dialogue over the decisions and the overall shaping the policies and practices of nations on a worldwide scale.

THE ROMAN CATHOLIC STANDARD

The flag placed by the Roman Armies around Jerusalem at the time of it’s desolation.

Though the church/state power was called the abomination of desolation, that desolating title was also given to the power which would reveal a definite removal of the protecting hand of God from Jerusalem just before it’s destruction. In an illustration of both the sign of the abomination of desolation regarding the Papacy, as well as the destruction of Jerusalem by the Roman armies, a single line would be used to carry both in one verse:

Matthew 24:1-3,15-16 “And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. (2) And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. (3) And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?… (15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) (16) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:”

Since it was an abomination of desolation to the establishment of the Papal government in 508CE and 538CE, the very same thing is to be definitely employed at it’s healing.

Likewise, we can draw some similarities to it’s healing from the destruction that was to meet Jerusalem as “the abomination of desolation”.

Just as Clovis’ church state was a sign that the Papacy was gaining power, and finds it’s contemporary with the signing of the Lateran Treaty, even so the sign of the abomination of desolation before Jerusalem’s destruction was significant to understanding of a counterpart it holds today, which sign is a definite signal to leave the cities.

The flag of the Roman Standard was raised upon the grounds of Jerusalem as a signal to God’s people that it was now time to leave the cities. So distinctly was this recognized as what would bring the desolation.

Luke 21:20 “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.”

The Roman armies planted their conquering sign upon the grounds of Jerusalem, just as the “arms” of the Papacy (that is, the kings of the earth) began to move in against those who opposed the Papal religion. Likewise today, there is a sign worthy of mention which culminates the signing of the diplomatic relations brought in by the Lateran Treaty.

THE RAISING OF THE FLAG: A DIVERSE HORN

The little horn and the diverse beast power are one in the same, and the language that Scripture conveys clearly lays this fact out for us. Therefore the deadly wound that the diverse beast sustains at the end of it’s prophetic period of 1260 years is the same thing which must correspond with the little horn of Daniel 7 at the end of it’s prophetic count. Likewise, as the diverse beast has a healing of that wound, we should not marvel as to see the little horn rise again to great prominence finding that very same healing to it, because it is one and the same power.

Now, as pertaining to the horns in the Bible, it is clear:

Daniel 7:24 “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.”

It is interesting to note that the “victor’s crown” lauryl on the Roman Standard flag is the same as that found on the United Nations logo.

The Roman kingdom had ten kingdoms under it’s banner. After the subduing of three horns which restrained the power of the Papacy, it was given a mouth speaking great things, dire

The United Nations is the very organization which has gathered the kings of the earth and the diverse horn has it’s flag raised at.cting the kings of the earth. The Papal horn was fittingly that “diverse” horn from the rest of the ten, inasmuch as it was an ecclesiastical authority and not chiefly a political authority. And this “abomination that maketh desolate” through the design and work of the Lateran Treaty has sought to “make desolate” for over 85 years. Now, the object of that abomination has been established and it’s aim reached.

On September 25^th, 2015, the United Nations held the largest general assembly of governments ever gathered in the history of the world. 198 nations were present there. The Vatican, though having close, and often unperceived, ties to the United Nations has been a non-member observer. While the flags of many nations were present, the Vatican flag was absent from among them. That was until the morning of the 25^th when the flag was raised officially amongst the rest of the kingdoms of the world. It was a practical declaration that the Vatican was that “diverse horn” from the rest of the kingdoms, and the prophecy of the little horn was true in what followed: it was given a mouth speaking great things.

Pope Francis on that very day addressed the delegates of the United Nations Sustainable Development Conference, where each nation, including the Vatican, signed an agreement to unitedly solve what they agree to be the world’s problems across the borders of this agreement in a pseudo-new world order-styled agenda.

The Papacy has gone from addressing individual nations through diplomatic relations to being received as a kingly voice in the largest governmental assembly ever held. The flag raised should be nothing less than an evident sign of the “arms” that are being influenced to stand on the Papacy’s behalf on the world stage. Truly the “desolation thereof is nigh”, “even at the doors”.  

THE JUDGMENT SCENE
Only a day prior was the day of judgment according to the Biblical reckoning of time, known as the day of atonement on September 24^th, when the Papacy addressed the United States house of congress. It was that dragon which gave the power and throne to the Papacy, and it is that dragon which gives the throne to the great harlot, which was nothing less than the “diverse horn”, called “that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” (Rev. 17:18)

John was shown the beginning, and conclusion of, the judgment scene of the great whore during the time of America, but which prophecy finds it’s consummation the ten horns on the dragon’s head.

Of those ten horns, it declares:

Revelation 17:16 “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.”
The very abomination of desolation is because of the little horn’s involvement with the kings of the earth, which “make her desolate”, and then shall burn her with fire.

Revelation 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

This judgment scene beginning is nothing less than the healing of the deadly wound, and the rising again of the little horn power, but did more happen on these judgment signs than what appears? What does the Scripture say regarding the judgment of the little horn?

THE JUDGMENT HOUR FOR THE PAPACY

Of the Papal judgment which goes in review before God the Father, the Scripture declares:

Daniel 7:26 “But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.”

Notice that the little horn will lose it’s dominion because the judgment was seated and the case will be decided to “take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end”, which is seen when this power is burned with fire, just as the great whore in the consummated decision of the judgment hour:

Daniel 7:8-11 “…behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. (9) I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, …his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. (10) A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him…the judgment was set, and the books were opened. (11) I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.”

Seeing then that the signal of the healing of the deadly wound has gone forth, and that the abomination that maketh desolate has been set up, is it any wonder that all the world, especially the kings of the world, are wondering after the beast at this very time? How evidenced is it that the flag raised is a warning to us that she is reigning as a “diverse horn”, an ecclesiastical authority, over the kings of the earth? The judgment of the Papacy is undergoing review before the Ancient of days in a marked manifestation for all to see at the very time when men are most desiring to stand under her banner. Let us therefore hear the conclusion of the matter:

Revelation 18:4-5 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (5) For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Daniel 7: The Rise and Fall of Empires

The vision is of importance to us in these last days…

In Daniel chapter 7, Daniel sees a vision of impression importance, revealing a controversy that leads to the people of God in the last days. His vision is of vital importance for us to correctly understand. He told us “he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.” Here is that dream, and it’s prophetic unfoldings:

“I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.”

Here Daniel sees the four winds striving upon the sea. We are told what the waters represent, using the Bible as it’s own interpreter:
THE SEA: “And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest…are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”  (Revelation 17:15)

The four winds striving upon the sea are the power of God’s judgment to bring scatter the power of the nations of the earth:

THE FOUR WINDS: “Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might. And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.” (Jeremaih 49:35-36)

Daniel then beholds four great beasts, one rising after the other, from amongst the people. We are told that these beasts symbolize kingdoms: ” These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth…The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth.” (Daniel 7:17,23) A king always is representative of his subjects, which make up his kingdom, with it’s associated laws and distinctive government; thus these four represent kingdoms.

                                                          THE FIRST BEAST: “The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings…”

This kingdom would have been instantly recognizeable to Daniel, who was both a captive in Babylon, and a counsellor to the sovereign of Babylon. All surrounding the walls of Babylon, there were over 120 lions with wings portrayed in honor of the goddess of war and fertility, Ishtar, who was one of the chief dieties of Babylon, alongside Bel (Baal) represented by a dragon, and Adad. The lions were symbolic of Ishtar’s throne. The inspiration for these came from both from Ishtar, and ancient Assyrian king Tiglath-Pileser I, who described in ancient texts his nations walls portraying great lions on them, and having sacrificed over 120 of them by hand in war. He is depicted as putting them to death by causing them to stand upon their feet. In a striking resemblance, we’re told of the lion: “it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man…” The the book of Daniel is filled with several stories of how God deals with the kings of this earth; He committed light into Babylon’s hand, which represents it standing upon it’s feet as a man, but the interpretation is twofold: a blessing, yet a foreboding of a coming judgment if it should turn aside from the light and privileges God had bestowed upon it (Rom. 1:20); Babylon, that great lion, was judged by the hand of God for profaning the holy privileges given to her.

                             THE SECOND BEAST: “And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side…”

The height of the tail is the star “polaris”, which is a fixed star. All other stars revolve around it, thus it is called the hand of Mithra.

The second kingdom that came was Media-Persia. The bear was raised up on one side, because the Persians were more powerful than the Medes, but they confederated together to secure the demise of Babylon. Like the lion, which symbolized the pagan religion of Babylon, the bear is symbolic of the pagan religion of the Persians. Mithraism, the worship of the sun, had it’s deity symbolized by the constellation “ursa minor” or bear. Ursa minor in the heavens is the constellation which is connected to the north star, “polaris”, which is immovable, but rather all stars move around it. Mithras holds constellation the Great Bear in one hand, emphasising his power as the stellar god who moves the cosmic pole as well being responsible for the procession of equinoxes. In an ancient Mithraic liturgy, it says describes him as “a god immensely great, having a bright appearance youthful, golden-haired, with a white tunic and a golden crown and trousers, and holding in his right hand a golden shoulder of a young bull: this is the Bear which moves and turns heaven around, moving upward and downward in accordance with the hour.”

The bear is said to have “three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.” The rib: is a symbol of woman who was made from a rib, and in Bible prophecy, we are told of a woman who reigns over the kings of the earth and is hostile towards God’s people, depicted by the rebellious tendencies of Babylon, and given the same name. Prophetic Babylon has a judgment pronounced against her; thus the kings of the earth “devour her flesh”. The ribs are a symbol of the three sovereign nations, chiefly Babylon, then Egypt, and Lydia, which Media-Persia’s confederacy “devour”.

THE THIRD BEAST: “After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl;”

The Grecian god Dionysius sat enthroned on a leopard.

The third kingdom to arise after the Media-Persian kingdom was the Grecian empire. It was symbolized by a leopard, a figure of the patron god of Greece, Dionysius, the god of revelry and fertility, who sat enthroned upon the leopard as his chariot. The leopard was the beast said to overcome all who opposed him.

Oppian, Cynegetica 4. 230 :
“Leopards are overcome also by the gifts of Dionysos… Leopards are now a race of wild beasts, but aforetime they were not fierce wild beasts but bright-eyed women…But to the women he gave the grey eyes of a wild beast and armed their jaws and on their backs put a spotted hide like that of fawns and made them a savage race.”

According to Greek Mythology, Dionysius freed his female worshippers from their imprisonment when they were incarcerated for worshipping him, and at their request they were transformed into leopards to avenge themselves and their god upon the king who imprisoned them.

It had four wings: symbolizing the great speed at which Alexander the great conquered the world; riding the winds of judgments falling upon the Media-Persian kingdom. It had four heads: symbolized by the divided dominion of Alexander, upon his death from the overuse of alcohol (a practice common among Greeks in dedication to Dionysius), shortly after he proclaimed he was a god.  Having no living successor, his kingdom was given into the hands of his four generals, Lysimachus, Cassander, Ptolemy, and Seleucus.

THE FOURTH BEAST: ” After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the remnant with the feet of it…”

Chronos, the god of time, often depicted with a serpent/dragon chariot, devoured children.

The fourth kingdom is the Roman Empire, which is said to devour and break in pieces. The chief god of the Romans was known as Saturn, or Chronos, god of time, whose chariot was serpents/dragons. Chronos, in fear of losing his place as chief among the gods, devoured any child who was born from him.
It was during the Roman Empire that Christ came as a man. Speaking of Christ’s birth during this time, we are told this devouring beast was the “dragon”. “…the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”(Rev. 12:4) Upon the king Herod learning of Christ’s birth from the wise men, he ordered all of the youth two and under to be killed for fear of his throne being overthrown. Satan, also called “the great dragon…that old serpent” (Revelation 12:9) in the Bible, had inspired the king with his very own fears of losing his throne. Thus Herod was moved by the very spirit of Satan to “devour” Christ “as soon as he was born.”

The beast symbolized by the devouring beast of the dragon, “that old serpent”, was also symbolic of the Roman god, Saturn. Saturn was known to transform himself into a serpent with wings, and he is also depicted as having a chariot carried along by serpents with wings. The “old serpent” in Scripture is a reference to the Satan using the medium of a serpent with wings before it was cursed perpetually to live on the ground. The god Saturn was known for having devoured his children as soon as they were born for fear that they would overthrow his dominion.

It was through the Roman Empire that it “break in pieces” Christ, as the sacrifice for man on the cross. After He ascended, we are told that the dragon makes war with “the remnant…which keep the commandments of God”: so the early Christians were terribly persecuted under the empire until the time of Constantine, when the dragon, “that old serpent”, would take a much more subtle form of attack in the Roman Empire.

THE TEN HORNS OF THE FOURTH BEAST: “…and it had ten horns.”

Daniel 7:24 says, “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise…”

The Roman empire was divided into what may be more commonly understood as ancient Europe. When the single Roman emperor fell, the kingdom was divided initially into ten divisions: Franks, Visigoths, Ostrogoths, Vandals, Saxons, Lombards, Suevi, Celts, Alemanni, Thuringians.

A LITTLE HORN: ” I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots…”

The Antichrist’s Rise: Who is this little horn?

We must not make the mistake of falsely identifying this little horn power, because it will prove to be the great antichrist power of history, and serve as a key to unveil the deception of the subtle serpent, and how he is working in these last days.

In order to avoid all mistakes of identity, it would be well first to consider the nine characteristic marks described in the prophecy itself. These marks of identity will enable us to be absolutely sure of the interpretation. We dare not guess or speculate concerning the historical identity of this “little horn” of prophecy.

1) It arises amongst the ten horns of Western Europe and it’s divisions.
2) The ten horns were in 476AD, so the little horn rises after this point.
3) It would uproot three horns standing in the way of it’s dominion, saying that “there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots.”.
4) It would have “eyes like a man and a mouth speaking great things,” signifying that it would be a man symbolized by this reign, and he would claim to be in a position of great authority.
5) This horn would be “diverse from the first”, showing that he is a different kind of power than the traditional political authority of the other kings.
6) It says “he shall speak great words against the most High.” Another verse says, “speaking great things and blasphemies.” [Blasphemy in the Bible is defined as a man, placing himself in the position of God. “For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” John 10:30-33, also to forgive sins- ““Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?” Mark 2:7)
7) He makes war with the saints, and prevails. (The saints are defined in the Bible as those who have the gospel of Christ and keep the law of God [Rev. 14:12])
8) He thinks to change times and laws. This does not refer to the laws of the kingdom of Rome, because the laws of the earthly kingdoms have always changed. It speaking about a man who claims to have authority to change the law of God and His kingdom.
9) It will reign for 1260 years. The Scripture says “a time, times, and a dividing of time.” While it seems unusual to word time like this, how can we know it is referring to 1260 years? The expression is employed again, in regards to a time when the church of God must flee persecution “for a time, and times, and half a time” in Revelation 12:14, which in verse 6 is referred to as “a thousand, two hundred, and threescore (a score is 20, so 3×20=60) days”. A day in Bible prophecy is in fact a year, according to Ezekiel 4:6 (“I’ve appointed thee each day for a year.”) A time therefore is 360 days, which is the length of the Bible’s year. Times is 720 (2×360), and a half a time is 180. If this is all put together, it gives us the key of reigning for 1260 years.

All of these points must match perfectly to identify the antichristian power, which will be used by Satan in the last days to deceive the world. God has already let these points find fulfillment, so none need be in darkness in the last days regarding the deceptions of Satan.

Why I Wrote “Just Past Midnight”

“Glorious will be the deliverance of those who have patiently waited for His coming and whose names are written in the book of life… It is at midnight that God manifests His power for the deliverance of His people. The sun appears, shining in its strength. Signs and wonders follow in quick succession. The wicked look with terror and amazement upon the scene, while the righteous behold with solemn joy the tokens of their deliverance.” Ellen White, The Great Controversy, page 634-636

When I first read this incredible passage I was still learning to play guitar, and I had begun to write songs. This statement inspired me to write a song with a unique Bible theme, one that would proclaim the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14. I wanted the song to bring conviction to my audience regarding their own spiritual condition in light of the judgment hour announced by the first angel. I also wanted it to embrace the statement of Christ that we should read and understand the prophecies: “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)” Matthew 24:15. Therefore I wrote, “the story was written down long ago, and if you will study you will know.” In the verses that follow, there is a description of the general climate of the earth when the plagues are falling upon mankind and Christ’s return is imminent.

Toward the middle of the song I declare, “Unrepentant sinner what will you do? There’s a day of judgment been appointed for you… You rejected His prophets and called His truth a lie, and now your time must come to die…” This warning of a coming judgment is found throughout the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation and in all of the writings of the prophets.

“LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days…” Psalm 39:4. “A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.“ “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.” Proverbs 14:16, 22:3.

Two “judgments” are spoken of in the scriptures. The first judgment occurs before the return of Christ. This judgment is the time when God decides the eternal destiny of every soul, and names are retained or removed from the book of life.

“I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and His wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him: thousand thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.” Daniel 7:9-10

“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels.” Revelation 3:5

“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” Revelation 21:27

“Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Revelation 14:6-7

The second judgment occurs after Christ’s return, after the wicked have been destroyed by the brightness of His coming and the earth has laid desolate for a millennium. This judgment is the time when the wicked realize that their names are not written in the book of life, and when they are required to give an account before God.

“I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. . . . But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. . . . But the judgment shall sit… And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” Daniel 7:13-27

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4-6

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:11-15

“But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet.” I Corinthians 15:23-25.

“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” “…every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Hebrews 9:27, Romans 14:12.

“If that evil servant shall say in his heart, my lord delayeth His coming; the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 24:48-51.

This second judgment is the time when all wickedness and hypocrisy will finally be done away with. No more will sinners flee accountability and hide from conscience.

In the world today, accountability and commitment have lost their importance to the vast majority; it has become easy to avoid keeping your word and escape punishment. The Bible tells us, “in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.” I Timothy 3:1-4. But this rebellious, dishonest, pleasure-loving generation will not be tolerated in the judgment.

Some may react to warnings with anger, but a patient does not get mad at the doctor who tells them that they have a life threatening illness. Instead they will do all they can to avert the consequences of it, or else prepare for the inevitable. The knowledge that we will all appear before the Ancient of Days and that we are very close to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, should arrest our attention. It should cause us all to beware lest we be found wanting and have no covering for our sins, and to examine ourselves, while there is still a time of probation.

Yet we need not fear; we all can be the Children of the Most High God. It was for this reason that the Father sent His Son to us. ”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.” Ephesians 1:3-7. Now is the time to take advantage of this great gift; now is the time to repent, that we might be found written in the book of life.

The Writing on the Wall: The Coming Judgment

In order to understand the events that are going on on the earth, we need to have a solid foundation of Bible prophecy; that way we can have the understanding that God gives pertaining to the various events taking place.

In Revelation 17, we see a judgment that must take place with the great whore of Revelation.

Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

Before identifying more definitely this “great whore”, we will first look at what it means that she is “sitting upon many waters”.

What is the waters? Rev 17:15 says “And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”

What does it mean that she is sitting over people, multitudes, nations, tongues? It means she receives her throne amongst the people. This power is the same as described by Paul:

2Thes. 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Notice that this “man of sin” sits in the temple of God. What is this temple of God?

1Cor. 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

The Scripture tells us that we are to be married to the Lord, in covenant with Him:
1 Cor. 6:17 …he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Also notice that the Spirit, called “the Holy Ghost” is the dwell in the temple of our souls. But the “people, multitudes, nations, and tongues” are “joined” to the “great whore”, so that the Spirit cannot be there.
1Cor. 6:16,18 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh…Flee fornication…he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

So then if anyone is in covenant with the Lord, they are “one Spirit”, but if they are joined to a “whore”, they are in covenant with them, and are “one flesh”. Thus the Spirit is not residing on the heart, but the man of sin, which is nothing less than sin dwelling in what is supposed to be God’s temple. Therefore, God isn’t in the heart, but the man of sin, represented by the “great whore”, is.

Let’s look at the identity of the great whore:
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Notice she is clothed with purple, scarlet, and gold. These colors are sanctuary colors. God’s temple, as well as the high priest garments, that the Lord instructed Moses to make had those same colors. But one color is missing from what she is arrayed in:

Exo 26:36 And thou shalt make an hanging for the door of the tent (of the Sanctuary), of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework.

Exodus 28:4-6 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office. (5) And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen. (6) And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.
Compare the Priest of God with the great whore:
Gold, Purple, Scarlet, Blue= Priest

Gold, Purple, Scarlet, No Blue.= Whore
What then does the blue represent?

Numbers 15:38-40 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: (39) And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: (40) That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
Blue= Remembering the commandments of God= Keeping the Covenant with God

No blue= Forgetting the commandments of God= Going “a whoring”
So the woman represents a priesthood power that FORGETS the commandments of God, having gone “a whoring”. Also the woman represents a church:

Jer 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.

This can be none other than the Catholic church. Her priests are decked in purple, scarlet, and gold often. The only time they are arrayed in blue is in the worship of Mary, who they call “the Queen of all creation” according to Francis latest encyclical on climate change. Similar to the worship of “the Queen of heaven”, a strange god that was not of the true worship of God, and which God condemned. How has she FORGOTTEN the commandments? She has forgotten the very commandment that says to “REMEMBER”, by changing the Sabbath day which God made holy to the venerable day of the Sun, which is known as the Sun day, or Sunday. Sunday sacredness began, not with the Catholic church, but in ancient sun worship, and was adopted by the Christian church through compromising the plain statements of Scripture for an unlawful union with Pagans. Thus they went “a whoring” after the ways of the heathen.

The Papacy receives her throne in the hearts of the people, who have forgotten,or are ignorant, of the commandments and ways of God.

ENTHRONED ON THE DRAGON

Now the very same thing is spoken of in Revelation 13, that the woman, or the man of sin, receives her throne from the dragon.

Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

It is the dragon which gave the “seat” to the Papacy. And that is consistent imagery with the woman:

Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

What is that scarlet colored beast?

Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Scarlet colored beast has: seven heads, ten horns
Great red dragon has: seven heads, ten horns

Thus the woman rides the dragon. Thus she receives her seat from the dragon. So the same antichristian power is referred to in Revelation 13 as in 17.

JUDGMENT OF THE GREAT WHORE

We are shown several time elements in Revelation 17. The central focus of the time element is the very chief time element: the judgment of the great whore.
Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Judgment of the great whore= judgment of the Catholic church/those joined to her.

Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
A time period is here shown to give us a deeper understand of what time the “great whore” has this judgment upon her.

Five Mighty Kingdoms have fallen:
1. Babylon
2. MedoPersia
3. Greece
4. Pagan Rome
5. Papal Rome

These are the five fallen kingdoms. When did Papal Rome fall, and how does she receive her supremacy?

Let us take a look at the prophecy of the dragon that gave the Papacy the throne to begin with.

Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Notice that the throne and power were given to the Papacy. When was this throne and power given to the Papacy? The dragon, which is Satan, through the Roman Empire, gave the Papacy it’s throne, AND IN GIVING THAT THRONE, IT GAVE THE PAPACY POWER.

Power over what?

Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
He was given power over all the people: the “waters” upon which the woman sat in Revelation 17. And for how long until “Papal Rome” is considered fallen?

Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Prophetically, equating a day for a year, that would give us 1260 day/years. The Papacy received the throne of Rome in 538, through the aggressive enforcement of the Justinian Code which led to the Ostrogoths, who occupied the seat of Rome itself, being uprooted from the land, and being chased down and eventually exterminated as a race for their anti-trinitarian, Sabbathkeeping profession, which the Justinian Code was specifically against.

What happened in 1798, 1260 years later? The Papacy, who ruled during the dark period of 42 prophetic months, was taken captive by the general Berthier of France, by order of the Directory; who were responsible for the initial tyranny of the French Revolution.

Thus fall was prophesied of that beast.

Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; …

When did Papal Rome fall? When it’s head was wounded to death. When was this? 1798 when it lost it’s power over the kings of the earth.
Deadly wound- 1798

But it is evident that the Papacy plays a large part as “the great whore” in the sixth kingdom, at which time we see her judgment coming in Revelation 17:1, 10.

The sixth kingdom is said to be the one after the five have fallen.

Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
We’ll examine what this sixth kingdom is more closely.

DEADLY WOUND HEALED

Although it says that the deadly wound happened, the prophecy doesn’t end there.
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Notice that we see that the deadly wound is healed. Thus the Papacy will regain her supremacy. What happens when this wound is healed? “all the world wondered after the beast”. Thus the “wondering” is a time element we can safely refer to as the time of her healing.

What does it mean that they are wondering?
Rev 17:8 …and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world…

Those who wonder are doing so because they are lost. This wondering after the Papacy that leaves men out of the book of life is also referred to as worship of the Papacy:
Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
The reason they worship the beast= the reason they wonder after the beast

They don’t receive the light and life of Christ. They don’t partake of the slain Lamb of God’s sacrifice.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Joh 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. Joh 5:41 I receive not honour from men. Joh 5:42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Those who do not receive Christ will receive a false Christ; thus they are lost, wondering, worshipping an antichristian power: the man of sin.

THE SIXTH KINGDOM

Who is the sixth kingdom, the one that “is”, upon which the great whore receives judgment?

After the fall of the Papal beast, who received a deadly wound, we see another kingdom rising up around the time of the deadly wound:
Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

The lamblike qualities of the kingdom that came up is nothing less than the Republic of the United States of America. By religious liberty, the constitution and the declaration of independence being the two “horns like a lamb” that give it power and strength among the nations of the world.

America’s founders knew well of the Papacy’s fall, and wanted America to be protected against her course of church/state union to prevent the dark ages from ever coming upon the earth again. America was to be a safe haven.

“If the Christian Religion as I understand it, or as you understand it, Should maintain its Ground as I believe it will; yet Platonick Pythagoric, Hindoo, and cabballistical Christianity4 which is Catholic Christianity, and which has prevailed for 1500 Years, has recd a mortal wound of which the Monster must finally die; yet So Strong is his constitution that he may endure for Centuries before he expires.” John Adams, to Thomas Jefferson.
John Adams was the 2nd president of the United States. He referenced the deadly wound as “a mortal wound”, and called Catholic Christianity by it’s pagan roots, calling it “Hindu Christianity”, or “Platonic Christianity.” Both Platonic philosophy and the Hindu religion hold the strongest belief in a Trinity, and this point will be important to understand as we understand the judgment of the great whore.
Further showing they knew these things, the father of the constitution, James Madison said the following:

“The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe with blood for centuries.” James Madison, 4^th president of the United States.
Despite knowing these things, America holds a prophecy that shows that the Papacy will be honored by her, and that America itself declines from it’s lamblike position, and it says it will “speak as a dragon” (v. 11).

Speaking of America’s decline, the Scripture tells us:

Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

It says that the beast after the fifth beast, the Papal beast, was fallen, that the sixth head of the dragon would be represented by America. It exercises the same power as it’s predecessor. What power is that?

Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

America also would be the voice for Satan on a world stage, and cause the whole world to worship the first beast. Thus that woman would be, in the time of America, honored in a certain sense as a goddess would be honored, even as “the Queen of heaven”.

And at what time does America have this power? When the first beast’s “deadly wound was healed.” Thus, as the world wonders after the Papacy, America herself, in this time of judgment, shows they are wondering after the Papacy. Showing that America herself has lost the lamblike principles she once had to exert the power of the dragon over people, nations, tongues, and people. If America is to cause the world to worship the first beast, which all the world wonders after, it is evident that America is foremost in wondering after her. America, who was once wise to the dangers of the Papal power, will be foremost among the nations of the world to honor her by causing the world to honor her in like manner. The prophecy is clear: AMERICA HAS BECOME LOST.
The dragon gave the power to the Papacy, which was the fifth that had fallen. The sixth exerting that same power is also from the dragon, which the woman is enthroned upon.

That brings us to the judgment of the great whore.

JUDGMENT OF THE GREAT WHORE

The judgment of the great whore is what we are here called to understand, because it is in the time we are living in, and many things are happening declaring that judgment is now ripe. Let us look at the name of the “great whore”.

Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Let us focus upon her names upon her forehead.
1) Mystery
2) Babylon the Great
3) Mother of harlots

There are many things that could be said about these names, but let us start with Babylon. She is called “Babylon” because the very religion which she professes is nothing less than originating from Babel many years ago. And regarding this point, we will address more shortly.

Let us fix our attentions on the judgment of “Babylon”, the “great whore.”

Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her…
Notice that she is fallen because the kings of earth have committed fornication with her.

As we noted earlier, those who are joined to a harlot are one body. One flesh. Just as a husband and wife are “one flesh.” Therefore, likening it to a marriage covenant, the kings of the earth are in covenant with the Papacy: and this is the evident reason for her fall. She enforces, through the kings of the earth, her doctrine. Thus the call “Babylon is fallen, is fallen” is declared.

Seeing that it is the time of America, the “one” that “is”, then America must in some way be in covenant with the Papacy. This brings about her causing all the world to worship her; thus through America, the deadly wound is definitely healed.

THE COVENANT: CHARISMATIC CHURCH/STATE

America is in covenant with the Papacy- forcing the religion of the Papacy on the lost- those who don’t keep the commandments of God. They will exercise the same power as the first beast: a church/state union. Speaking of America exercising such a power, it says:

Rev 13:13,14 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Protestant America, through compromise, has begun to speak as a dragon. The apostate Protestants, forsaking the principles of the Reformation, are now giving homage to the Papacy. Thus was developed the miracle-working Charismatic movement, which is becoming increasingly aggressive for a church/state union. They are following in the footsteps of the Papacy, thus can they also be called “harlots”, and the Papacy would be their mother.

Tony Palmer, the late-friend and partner of Kenneth Copeland ministries, announced that the Protestant reformation was over based on a misunderstanding of what the protest was about. He said “Maybe now, we are all Catholics again.”

This isn’t the only thing that is being said. Copeland, said that the very Charismatic movement’s miracle-working spirit, was begun by a prayer by a Pope in 1906 CE.

More than this, more Charismatics have united with the Papacy and have sought to enter into covenant with them. Thus, the Papacy is indeed “the mother of harlots”. The Charismatic Evangelicals are also aggressively pushing for church/state unity, foremost in the aggression is Rodney Howard-Browne, one of the leading Charismatic preachers.
And what are these Charismatics saying? They are saying nothing less than what the dragon has inspired them to speak. America is a government by the people, and the majority based upon popular vote, can choose to enact various laws, and this is exactly what we see the Charismatics doing. They are now both honoring the Papacy, and pushing for church/state union. Thus the saying is rapidly being fulfilled: “saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.”
An Image is a likeness. And a likeness to what? The Papacy in it’s exercise of the powers of the kings of the earth. Thus it is an image of the Papacy. In doing this, through the daughters of the Papacy, the Papacy is regaining her hold upon America. Thus, America will cause the world to worship the Papacy. America gives the throne back to the Papacy through her exercise of power.
THE WRITING ON THE WALL: BABYLON’S JUDGMENT

To better understand Babylon the Great’s judgment in the time of America, let us look at ancient Babylon’s judgment.

Daniel 5:1-5 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand. (2) Belshazzar…commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein. (3) Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them. (4) They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. (5) In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
Thus the writing on the wall was to bring judgment on Babylon for it’s wickedness. Belshazzar, king of Babylon, was the son of Nebuchadnezzar, who was judged by the God of heaven for his pride and rebellion. Belshazzar knew of the judgment of God, and still commenced to drink from the cups of the Sanctuary strong drink.
THE KINGDOM WEIGHED IN THE BALANCES: THE JUDGMENT OF BABYLON

Daniel both explained the significance of the handwriting, as well as why it came.

Daniel 5:18-28 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour: (19) And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down. (20) But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: (21) And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts…till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will. (22) And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this; (23) But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified: (24) Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written. (25) And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. (26) This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. (27) TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. (28) PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

Nebuchadnezzar’s son knew the judgment of his grandfather, but failed to glorify God, and profaned His holy things. Likewise, as we read earlier, America knew well of the Papacy’s ways, yet she will still follow in the same course in the time of judgment. America knowing of both the wickedness and the subsequent judgment of the Papacy is identical to how Belshazzar knew of the ways and judgment of his father.

Of Nebuchadnezzar, it says “for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages” (Daniel 5:19), and it says of the Papacy, that “power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” (Rev. 13:7) So nearly identical, also, is the language here presented. Despite all of this, by America’s influence, the Papacy will receive homage; thus America shows that she is nothing less than a daughter of the “great whore”, or a son of the Papal beast, whatever language might seem more fitting.
Likewise, we see the gospel going to “every nation, kindred, tongue, and people”, and a call to “fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come…”

Of Nebuchadnezzar’s judgment, he failed to give glory to God, and the writing upon the wall came because, as it was said to Belshazzar, “God….hast thou not glorified.”. Likewise, America fails to give glory to God, despite the call going forth at the “hour of His judgment.”
Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
The time when the “great whore” is to be judged, a call is given to give glory to Him. The “hour of His judgment” is a reference to the Day of atonement. Could the judgment of the “great whore”, in the days of fallen America, be included in this very thing?

The Day of atonement is the time of being weighed in the balances of the Sanctuary, and it a determination is there made if they are “found wanting.”

THE PAPACY: THE DAY OF ATONEMENT

In America, on September 24^th, in Washington, DC, the Jesuit Pope, Francis, will be addressing a joint-session in Congress at the Capitol building. In Article I of the Constitution, it describes the fearful duty of the House and Senate in Congress: “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” The House and Senate are equal partners in the legislative process—legislation cannot be enacted without the consent of both chambers. Thus the Papacy will address, in the very “heart of the nation’s capitol”, that is the heart of the United States (where she will speak as a dragon), the chief legislative powers of the United States. Such a thing in a Protestant government, based firmly on liberty of conscience could not have happened in times past, but is able to happen now, seeing as the deadly wound is speedily being healed.

It is nothing less than an evident token that the restraining Spirit of God is being withdrawn from America’s leading men, seeing as the Papacy is given such an opportunity to address such a power-wielding body in the United States. The Papacy could never stand in the heart had not the heart first become corrupt, carelessly laying aside the past. And what sign do we have that this holds the greatest significance in America? It is on the Day of Atonement: the judgment hour.

Moreover, the Jesuits have a dark record both in both politics and religion. They have not always been careful to keep the matters hidden, but have left enough evidence to suffice men to know that they seek to both subvert kingdoms and religions to bring them under the Papal influences and power.

“When appearing as members of their order, they wore a garb of sanctity, visiting prisons and hospitals, ministering to the sick and the poor, professing to have renounced the world, and bearing the sacred name of Jesus, who went about doing good. But under this blameless exterior the most criminal and deadly purposes were concealed. It was a fundamental principle of the order that the end justifies the means. By this code, lying, theft, perjury, assassination, were not only pardonable but commendable, when they served the interests of the church. Under various disguises the Jesuits worked their way into offices of State, climbing up to be the counselors of kings, and shaping the policy of nations. They became servants, to act as spies upon their masters. They established colleges for the sons of princes and nobles, and schools for the common people; and the children of Protestant parents were drawn into an observance of popish rites. All the outward pomp and display of the Romish worship was brought to bear to confuse the mind, and dazzle and captivate the imagination; and thus the liberty for which the fathers had toiled and bled was betrayed by the sons. The Jesuits rapidly spread themselves over Europe, and wherever they went, there followed a revival of popery.” {Great Controversy 1888 pg. 234}

The above description is especially true for Pope Francis, who has caused the world to look upon the Catholic church with wonder and admiration. Did the founding fathers of America know the dangers of the Jesuits and the risk they would pose to the nation? Yes.

John Adams frequently was in correspondence with Thomas Jefferson. In 1816, he wrote: “This society [Jesuits] has been a greater calamity to mankind than the French Revolution, or Napoleon‘s despotism or ideology. It has obstructed the progress of reformation and the improvement of the human mind in society much longer and more fatally.”

In May of 1816, he addressed his concerns regarding the revival of the Jesuit order:

“I do not like the late resurrection of the Jesuits. They have a general now in Russia, in correspondence with the Jesuits in the United States, who are more numerous than everybody knows. Shall we not have swarms of them here? In as many shapes and disguises as ever a king of the Gypsies-Bamfield Morecarew himself, assumed? In the shape of printers, editors, writers, schoolmasters, etc. I have lately read Pascal’s letters over again, and four volumes of the history of the Jesuits. If ever any congregation of men could merit eternal perdition on earth and in hell, according to these historians, though like Pascal true Catholics, it is this company Loyola. Our system, however, of religious liberty must afford them an asylum. But if they do not put the purity of our elections to a severe trial, it will be a wonder.”

In response to this, Thomas Jefferson replied on August 1^st, 1816:

“I dislike, with you, their restoration; because it marks a retrograde step from light to darkness.”

Also, in seeming prophetic foresight, a French General of George Washington said the following:

“It is my opinion that if the liberties of this country, the United States of America are destroyed, it will be by the subtlety of the Roman Catholic Jesuit priests, for they are the most crafty, dangerous enemies to civil and religious liberty. They have instigated MOST of the wars of Europe.” Marquis de LaFayette(1757-1834; French statesman and general who served in under the command of General George Washington during the American Revolutionary War)

Seeing the dangers of the Jesuits, and the Papacy, foreseen in America, how much more then should we see America’s great decline with a Jesuit Pope shall address the legislative body. Yet there is more than this that should signal warning to all of God’s children at this time.

THE PAPACY’S GOLDEN CUP

What brought the judgment to Babylon of old was nothing less than significant. It surrounded the disregard of Belshazzar, and desecrating the holy vessels. We’ve seen the connection between America, and how she causes all to worship the Papacy also. Let us look at the woman more closely:

Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a GOLDEN CUP in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Filthiness of her fornication indicates the covenant she has with the kings of the earth, enforcing religion that brought martyrdom to many of God’s people. So shall America follow in her footsteps, as she will have the “golden cup” in her hand, as a symbol of the cup that was in the hands of Belshazzar. Will America, to exalt the religious ideals of the Papacy, ignite a profanation of God’s holy things? Yes.

Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Thus we see Babylon’s judgment; she comes drinking the blood of the saints in the days of America. Notice how Babylon, through her fornication employs force:
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because SHE MADE ALL NATIONS DRINK of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
It is that same power that is now about to be exercised by America, just as the prophecies foretold. Only at that time is the “great whore” elevated by America to be enthroned for worship; through America’s influence the deadly wound is healed, and Papal supremacy is regained by this son of the beast. Thus, through America, the Papacy will have the golden cup in her hand, and martydom will be rekindled. It is at this time that judgment can come.

MARTYRDOM REKINDLED

The Scripture says precisely that at the time when this church/state image to the Papacy is enforced, that the dark ages will resume. Martyrdom commences. That time is right upon us. The Scripture speaks of the beheading of the people of God in the last days:

Rev 20:4 “…saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

The martyrs in America will be beheaded. This may to many seem impossible, but it is not.

Scripture is clear that this will happen. In fact, a well-known retired FBI agent, Ted Gunderson, said the following: “Why does the US government need 30,000 Guillotines and over 600 Million rounds of hollow point bullets?

There are over 800 prison camps in the United States. All fully operational and ready to receive prisoners. They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards. But they are all empty. These camps are to be operated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should Martial Law need to be implemented in the United States and all it would take is a presidential signature on a proclamation and the attorney general’s signature on a warrant to which a list of names is attached. Ask yourself if you really want to be on the list.”

Many things are now in place to declare that martial law will take place, and Ted Gunderson speaks of 30,000 guillotines in America, even now. How is this all possible? The Scripture declares that it will happen; that there will be martyrs in the time of America’s kingdom.

When God’s people suffer the fiercest persecution, it will be at the time when America causes all to worship the Papacy through exercising the same power that she exercised, and by this means, the golden cup is placed into her hands.

THE WRITING ON THE WALL

The writing on the walls of Babylon was a symbol of judgment. Likewise, in the time of America, do we see something to indicate “the judgment” has come? America in following the footsteps of the Papacy is pursuing a similar course to Belshazzar in exercising the same power as the kingdom that came before them. Doing this is nothing less than failing to glorify God with it’s privileges and opportunities, and setting up “the great whore”. We also saw that it is evident that the hour of His judgment would be signified by the day of atonement; thus the Papacy is coming to speak to Congress to commence this scene depicting the commencement of judgment.
BUT WHAT IS THE WRITING ON THE WALL???

Let us look at a video of the city of New York, because on it is a sign that holds many correlations to Revelation 17:

What you have seen in this video is a projection upon a wall of the Hindu goddess Kali at the height of New York city, looking upon the multitudes of people from the Empire State building. One of the tallest buildings in the United States. What correlations does the goddess Kali hold to Revelation 17? Much in many ways.

The Hindu goddess Kali’s name means “the black one” in Sanskrit. She is the goddess of death and destruction. She is known as “the dark mother”, and for having a thirst for blood. The “dark mother” is known in Hinduism as coming from “Mother Durga”, who is most often depicted as being enthroned upon a beast. She is known for her union with Shiva from which she derives her existence. Shiva is one third of the Trimurti (the Hindu Trinity); beside Brahma and Vishnu, Shiva is in the role of the destroyer. The purpose of “the destroyer” is to create a new order: or order out of chaos; thus Kali is but a manifestation of this very thing.

It is evident that Hinduism has a Trinity based upon their ancient Scriptures.

The Puranas [3000 Year old Hindu Scripture] says: “O ye three Lords! know that I recognize only one God. Inform me, therefore, which of you is the true divinity, that I may address to him alone my adorations.’ Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva replied, ‘[know] O devotee, that there is no real distinction between us. What to you appears such is only the semblance. The single being appears under three forms by the acts of creation, preservation, and destruction, but he is one.’

Now let us see the connections with Kali and the Papal harlot of Revelation 17.

1) Goddess/Woman worship:
*A Hindu goddess is worshipped; projected upon the wall of America.
*America causes all to worship that great harlot.

2)Goddess overlooks the city
*Harlot sits upon many waters (tongues, tribes, nations, people)
*America exercises the same rulership over the people as her mother, the Papacy.

3)Kali is known as Mother Durga
*The woman in Revelation 17 is called the “mother of harlots”

4) “Mother Durga” is often depicted riding a beast
*The great harlot is depicted as riding the dragon.

5)Kali is known for her thirst for blood.
*The “mother of harlots” drinks a golden cup, drunken with the blood of the martyrs.

6)Kali receives her authority from the Hindu Trinity.
*The mother of harlots exalts her god, the Trinity.

If you compare the Puranas with this statement from The Basic Catholic Catechism, by William G. Most, you would find it difficult to apprehend a great difference: “Perhaps the deepest, the most profound of all mysteries is the mystery of the Trinity. The Church teaches us that although there is only one God, yet, somehow, there are three Persons in God. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God, yet we do not speak of three Gods, but only one God. They have the same nature, substance, and being.”

All of Catholicism claims it’s doctrines from the foundation of the Trinity:
“The mystery of the Trinity is the central doctrine of the Catholic Faith. Upon it are based all the other teachings of the church…” Handbook for Today’s Catholic, p 11

7)The Trinity is vital in the woman’s power to destroy.
*The “mystery of the Trinity” is connected to the Papacy, as is denoted by her name “Mystery.”

8)Kali is of the Hindu religion
*John Adams rightly said that Catholicism is “Hindu Christianity”

9)Kali is on an American building
The woman sits upon the beast in the time of America

10)Kali represents the destroyer, and holds a sword in her hand which she uses to destroy.
The Papacy, in Revelation 13, uses the power of the state as her “sword” to make war with God’s people.

11)Kali holds in her hand a head, as well as a chain of heads around her neck of her victims.
The power exercised by America in making an image to the Papacy will behead God’s people.

There are sufficient connections with the “dark mother” and the “mother of harlots” to see they are writing upon the wall of the Empire State building is nothing less than a declaration that the time of judgment, and the scenes depicted in Revelation 17 are right upon us. The depiction of the goddess Kali on the wall in connection to the woman of Revelation 17 is declaring that the writing on the wall is nigh at hand.

A FIERCE AVATAR: A PERSECUTING POWER

One post said something of serious importance. “Andrew Jones designed the fierce portrait of Kali, who is the Goddess of Time, Change, Power and Destruction, to make the point that Mother Nature now more than ever needs a fierce avatar to fight the dangers of pollution and extinction.”

What is an avatar? In Hindu mythology, an avatar is “the descent of a deity to the earth in an incarnate form or some manifest shape; the incarnation of a god.” It can also be defined as “an embodiment or personification, as of a principle, attitude, or view of life.”
Mother nature needs an avatar to represent it “the dark mother” Kali, yet equally true is that the avatar of “the dark mother” is well represented by the “mother of harlots.”

Thus will the Papacy be utilized to represent “mother nature” in a “fierce” manner. And when will the Papacy do this? On the day following the Day of Atonement, September 24^th, the Pope will address the Sustainable Development Summit in the United Nations in New York.

An archbishop of the Catholic church said regarding this meeting, that “Practically all of the heads of states and governments will be around and they will all be there on that day, so if the Pope were to finalize this visit to the U.S. that means that he would address all the heads of states and of governments, who will be sitting with their official delegations,”

The “mother of harlots” not only sits enthroned and worshipped during the world power of America, but it also says that she commits “fornication with the kings of the earth.”

Pope Francis, before the United Nations on September 25^th, will address the need for a thorough global initiative to become unitedly aggressive against global warming. The elite has long sought to usher in a reform of an agenda to bring about a new world order. Agenda 21, under the name Sustainable Development, is doing that very thing. The United Nations has this to say on their website about the agenda:

“2015 is the year when countries will shape and adopt a new development agenda that will build on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).” http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/development-agenda/

“The United Nations is now in the process of defining Sustainable Development Goals as part a new sustainable development agenda that must finish the job and leave no one behind. This agenda, to be launched at the Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015, is currently being discussed at the UN General Assembly, where Member States and civil society are making contributions to the agenda.”

Why is this agenda so startling? In it is a plan to bring laws that are beyond borders. A legislative power that is giving the Papacy a forum. In addition to addressing climate change, it also sets ambitious goals for areas such as economics, health, energy, education, agriculture, gender equality and a whole host of other issues.

““All countries and all stakeholders, acting in collaborative partnership, will implement this plan…”

“The 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets which we are announcing today demonstrate the scale and ambition of this new universal Agenda. They seek to build on the Millennium Development Goals and complete what these did not achieve. They seek to…achieve gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. They are integrated and indivisible and balance the three dimensions of sustainable development: the economic, social and environmental.”

And in the very last days, we read of the Papacy that they will have power over the treasures of gold, and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt.

Daniel 11:43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
Yet with the United States itself, a much greater crisis awaits it. Much like with the goddess Kali, those under Satanic dominion are even now planning to bring this new order after a time of created chaos. Much like the World Trade Centers were thrown down, only to erect the “One World Trade Center”, even so will the Republic of the United States cease to exist, that a new order may be ushered in. America will be the one to bring the crisis to the entire world, and the Papal religion will not merely play a small part in it.

One popular environmentalist’s posts that is being shared widely had some startling statements regarding what the Fierce Avatar on the Empire State buildings mean:

“Perhaps it is even too late now, perhaps only calamity can make us silence the ego and hear the cries of the World Soul, perhaps destruction must be our baptism into change, but this is the time and we are the ones summoned to be the shamans of the Shift.

Never underestimate the power of holy darkness to reveal the Soul of all matters. The dark is where illusions are shattered, where false certainties are broken; the dark is where the mind is cut off so that only the heart can see… It is time to let holy darkness be our medicine. The world as we know it must change or perish…

If there was ever a sign of the times, this is it. In our bones we all recognize, we are in the death pangs of the old world, and that we make it through is anything but certain…

It is time to get our Kali on inside and out; to cut off the head and commit to the heart on all levels…

The quickening of the New Earth is upon us and what is needed now is the fierceness of Ma Kali. A holy oracle of change, her medicine is darkness, her initiation is by fire…”

Interestingly, America is marked for bringing making “fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast.” (Rev. 13:13-14)

Much like the blood drinking mother of Revelation 17, Kali was often denoted for a plan for mass human sacrifice. In Indiana Jones: The Temple of Doom, it depicts human sacrifices to Kali.

America, in preparing for martial law, is following the course of the old Roman Empire, who came to exalt the Papacy. Nothing less shall be witnessed in the scenes that are soon to break upon the earth.

To human wisdom all this now seems impossible; but as the restraining Spirit of God shall be withdrawn from men, and they shall be under the control of Satan, who hates the divine precepts, there will be strange developments. The heart can be very cruel when God’s fear and love are removed. Great Controversy, page 608

Daniel 7: The Rise & Fall of Antichrist

For a context for this article, it is highly recommended that you read the first part of this three-part series.

1) It arises amongst the divisions of Western Europe/Roman Empire.
2) It must rise after 476CE, when Rome was divided.
3) It’s rise to power includes uprooting three other kingdoms that stand in it’s way.
4) A man would represent this kingdom, claiming to have great authority over the kings of the Roman empire.
5) He is a different kind of king than the traditional political authority of the other kings.
6) He claims to have the authority that belongs to God.
7) He makes war with the saints who keep God’s laws.
8) He thinks to change times and laws of God’s government.
9) He reigns for 1260 years.

These points must be fulfilled to identify the anthchristian little horn power. Again, to have more detail on these nine points, and an abundance of Scriptural testimony, it is best to refer you to the first part of this three-part series.

The Antichrist Power revealed…

If antichrist was a giant political figure that everyone recognized as demanding the worship of Satan and having a hitler-esque demeanor, it would not be deceiving to many sincere but mislead Christians. Although nine characteristics have been revealed from this power, still more characteristics are necessary to understand what happened in the Roman Empire to cause the rise of this power.

The apostles all saw concerns coming in amongst those who received Christ’s sacrifice. He is the “Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world” (John 1:29); He was called the Lamb, because anciently, the Hebrew people looked forward to the deliverance from sin by the Messiah-to-come, and to demonstrate their faith in His coming, they would sacrifice lambs, bulls, and goats. Yet “it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.” (Heb. 10:4) Yet most of the Israelites lost the meaning of their sacrifices, and had faith in those sacrifices to take away sins instead of the One to whom they pointed. And what is sin? The apostle John tells us that “sin is the transgression of the law.” (1 John 3:4)

The truth: Christ’s sacrifice and the law of God cannot be separated

The very law that the little horn would think to change was the law of God’s government; thus it would enforce a new law via the kings of Europe, and turn many away from the law of the true God; thus making of no effect the sacrifice of Christ. Christ, foreseeing what would come, declared:

“Do not think that I’ve come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

He then compared those who would “think” He came to abolish the law of God with the “righteousness” of the scribes and the pharisees (the religious class of people in Jerusalem): “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 5:20)

These men had taught that it was acceptable to “break one of these least commandments”; “Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.” Christ told them, fulfilling the Scripture in Isaiah, “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

The antichrist power would make of no effect the commandments of God by their traditions; and profess with their mouths that they worship Him, but like the religious people of Christ’s day, are in fact crucifying Him over again in breaking the law. The Bible declares this as the righteousness of man (Rom. 10:3), while the law of God reveals the righteousness of God (Isaiah 51:6,7), which God says “will not be abolished [destroyed].”

THE GREAT FALLING AWAY IN THE CHURCH

The apostle Paul had studied the prophecies carefully. He saw the rise of the antichrist coming from Rome, and how he would think to change the law of God, and was troubled. God even kept on record three such warnings for us that a great falling away would occur in the Christian church.

“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:29-31)

The Christian church was to be compromised by a foreign power, previously unknown to it. Paul said Christ would not return until the work of this power had been fully accomplished: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;” (2 Thes. 2:3)

Paul, seeing the little horn as changing the law of God which exposes sin, called him “the man of sin”, revealed in the church by “a falling away”; and the son of perdition (literally, of destruction, ruin, or loss). Going to greater lengths, he goes to the very church at the heart of the conflict that would come, and writes to them regarding to gospel of Christ, which restores the law’s rightful place in the heart of the believer. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;… For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Rom. 1:16-17) He continues further, and declares that those who believe in the effectual power of Christ’s sacrifice, have sin “condemned in the flesh [our flesh]”, “that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:3,4) He then warns the church in Rome not to become absorbed in worldly affairs, having their minds on this world and losing sight of the gospel, it’s power, and heavenly realities. “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” (Romans 8:6-7) Paul realized that the trouble was to arise in the church that was in Rome, that they would “think” against the law of God by supposing to hold some great authority to alter His commands. Paul emphasizes the words of Christ, that He came to “fulfill” the law, and not to destroy it.

In addition to the nine points, the tenth is this:

10) He came as the result of a falling away of the Christian church

ONE FINAL CHARACTERISTIC

One final characteristic must be mentioned, and then the identity cannot be mistaken to any honest child of God. To understand this point, we will examine another view of the characteristics of the little horn power of Daniel 7, from another prophecy in the Bible.

The tokens of paganism are found in the little horn power…

“And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” (Revelation 13:2)

This beast has all the parts of the pagan kingdoms brought into one unique and diverse kingdom that the little horn’s rise to power in the divided Roman empire. It has the body of the leopard, symbolized by Bacchus, the Greek god. It has feet that walk in the laws of sun worship found in Media-Persia. It has the mouth of Babylon’s lion, having Babylon at the heart of it’s religion. And he is honored by being given the dragon’s throne (“seat”) of the Roman Empire; which seeks to devour God’s true children, who like Chronos, the chief deity of Rome, that devoured his own children and controlled time. The dragon, also symbolizing Satan’s rebellious kingdom, would presumptiously pass the “great authority” of having “power” and authority to “change times and laws” to this kingdom who sits upon the throne of the Roman empire.

Thus pagan elements are infused into this little horn kingdom so definitely.
Further proof that the little horn and this beast are one and the same. Here are four characteristics that match perfectly:

A MOUTH AGAINST GOD
1) “there was given unto him a mouth speaking                                          1) “a mouth that spake very great things…
great things and blasphemies…against God…(v.5,6)                                  words against the Most High..” (v.20,25)

WAR WITH THE SAINTS
2) “it was given unto him to make war with                                                  2) ” I beheld, and the same horn made war with
the saints, and to overcome them” (v. 7)                                                         the saints, and prevailed against them…” (v.21)

1260 YEARS
3) “and power was given unto him to continue                                             3) “they shall be given into his hand until a time (1 year-12 months)
forty and two months [1260 prophetic days/years].”  (v. 5)                    and times (2 years- 24 months) and the dividing
of time (half a year- 6 months) [1260 prophetic days/years]. (v. 25)

AGAINST THE GOSPEL- KEEPS AWAY SALVATION FROM SIN
4) “all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose                      4) “he shall think to change times and laws…”
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb” (v. 8)

***The Lamb is Christ which saves from sin. Antichrist is the religious power from the church in Rome that changes the laws which reveal the sins needing to be saved from.

THE REVELATION OF THE LITTLE HORN

The ONLY power in all of history that fulfills all 11 of these points clearly, and definitely, is the Roman Catholic Papacy.

For some, it may be hard to believe that the Roman Catholic Papacy is antichrist, and at first glance, that may be understandable. However, when examining more closely, there are clear evidences which we will show for exactly why this is true. In the early Christian church, there was a falling away. It began at the time of pagan emperor Constantine’s “conversion” to Christianity. He began to shower favors upon the Christian church, and his counselors that it was God’s will to give them both advantages by removing the need to pay taxes, and also to give the church more land. The preference thus shown to Christianity, unconverted pagans walked into the church, and introduced paganism into Christianity; mingling it. Constantine sought to unite the pagans and the Christians, and those Christians who were already departing from the precepts given in the law of God were the most favorable to uniting with paganism. The falling away, while plaguing the entire Christian movement, was most advanced from the church in Rome, which Paul expressly counselled.

The most subtle form of deception which will deceive the whole world is a Christianized form of paganism, that has made this world it’s kingdom. Does this mean all the Roman Catholics are lost? No. In fact, Jesus said, “other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” (John 10:16) Jesus tells us that He has other sheep, who are in other parts of the world, who do not know see the truth, but when they hear the truth, they will leave their errors and their former teachers & leaders, and like the disciples of Christ, go and follow Him.

Now let’s examine these points, and trace their fulfillment in the rising of this power:
1) He is a different kind of king than the traditional political authority of the other kings.
The Papacy was given the name Pontifex Maximus (the great bridgebuilder) because that was the name given to the pagan high priests who were appointed by the Roman Emperor. The Pope is diverse from the other kings because he is both a political and religious figure. The Pontifex Maximus duties were to consecrate temples of their gods, to regulate calendar observances, and regulating public morals, and fining and punishing offending parties. To this day, the Papacy claims the title as Pontifex Maximus. He built bridges from Christianity to unite with Paganism, and for Christianity to be established as a political force in this world, contrary to the will and plan of God. The bridges thus built were nothing less than converting Christianity to the world, and concealing it’s true character of paganism.

1) He thinks to change times and laws of God’s government.
One of the most remarkable prophecies in the entire Bible is that the antichrist claims to have authority to change the times of worship and laws of God. It is commonly understood that the early Christians did in fact worship on the times found in the law of God. Those times were as follows:

The Papacy adopted the pagan sabbath, which was Sunday, the traditional day of sun worship. This they freely admit:

“…pastoral intuition suggested to the Church the christianization of the notion of Sunday as “the day of the sun”, which was the Roman name for the day and which is retained in some modern languages.(29) This was in order to draw the faithful away from the seduction of cults which worshipped the sun, and to direct the celebration of the day to Christ, humanity’s true “sun”.” John Paul II, Dies Domini, 27. The day of Christ-Light, 1998 (Prominent protestant leaders agree with this statement – See here for a statement by Dr. E. T. Hiscox, author of the ‘Baptist Manual’)

The pagans who flooded the entrance of the church were converted originally by the church converting to their laws. In an old Catholic Catechism, it is even more pronounced:

“Q. What is Sunday, or the Lord’s Day in general?

A. It is a day dedicated by the Apostles to the honour of the Most Holy Trinity…. It is also called Sunday from the old Roman denomination of Dies Solis, the day of the sun, to which it was sacred.” The Douay Catechism, (An Abridgment of the Christian Doctrine) of 1649

How could they do this? They “think to change times and laws” because they “think” they have such authority to change them. Additionally, a triune understanding of God, where three divine beings were united in one divine nature, immortal, without beginning and end, was adopted to help pagans who were accustom to the triunity of divine beings in various pagan religions. These concessions from the church brought a unity between pagans and Christians that before this time would have been near impossible. This is in perfect harmony with the pagan beasts all being represented in the Catholic beast, which takes in the pagan doctrines.

2) He claims to have the authority that belongs to God.

Authority over kings: “the Pope enjoys, by divine institution, supreme, full, immediate, and universal power in the care of souls.” 937, Catechism of the Catholic Church (1997) What does “universal power” mean?  It means power over kings for the sake of making converts, for “the common good of society”.

Infallability: What the Pope speaks in Encylical writings are legally and conscience-bound to the Christian particularly, and to the non-Christian without exception. It teaches that the Pope’s words cannot be wrong. Ex Cathedra is a Papal doctrine which teaches that “when, in the exercise of his office [the Pope] as shepherd and teacher of all Christians, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, (the Bishop of Rome) defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church.” It teaches then that the Pope cannot be in error in faith or morals.

Authority to change God’s law: “Protestants … accept Sunday rather than Saturday as the day for public worship after the Catholic Church made the change… But the Protestant mind does not seem to realize that … in observing Sunday, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the Church, the pope.” Our Sunday Visitor, February 5th, 1950

2) It must rise after 476CE, when Rome was divided into ten parts.

It arises amongst the divisions of Western Europe/Roman Empire.
It’s an interesting fact that the Papacy did rise at this time. After Constantine’s conversion in the fourth century, the prophesied falling away began to move swiftly; and with every step further into error, the greater favor it grew with the kingdoms of Rome.

It’s interesting to note that the Papacy’s political advancements began with the conversion of Constantine, and after this time, the Papacy’s rise to political favor grew more and more as it became more entrenched in the principles of paganism. It was not until 508 that the first war was waged in the name of a Catholic church/state, and it was not until 538 that the Papacy actually received the throne of the Roman empire itself, to exercise authority over the kings of Europe.

3) It’s rise to power includes uprooting three other kingdoms that stand in it’s way.
The Papacy uprooted three of the ten kings who had stood in it’s way, thus fulfilling the prophecy: “For the mystery of iniquity is already at work: only he who now restrains will restrain [him], until he is taken out of the way.” (2 Thes. 2:7) These three restraining forces were signs to the Christian church of the prevailing corruption and the growing power of the Pope over the kings of the earth. The restraints were imposed by three Sabbath-keeping, non-Trinitarian kingdoms. Both the Trinity and Sunday-keeping, in the place of Sabbath and the worship of the true God, were fundamental teachings of Catholic Christianity.
i) The Visigoths: In 508, the first of these kingdoms was rooted out of it’s land by church/state authority. It was the united France, under Clovis, a pagan-king who converted to Catholicism, that declared war in the name of the church. The Visigothic people, standing in the way of France and her Catholic teachings, ran her into the corners of Europe, where she began to be swallowed up by Catholicism at last.
ii) The Vandals: In 533, the zealously Catholic emperor Justinian overcame the Vandals, and issued a decree, declaring all were to submit to the Pope, to the Most Holy Trinity, and to assume the name Catholic.
iii) The Ostrogoths: In 538, the Ostrogothic kingdom occupied the land of Rome itself. It had constantly shifted hands, and for some years, it was in the hands of Sabbathkeeping Christians. Justinian, through his general Belisarius, entered into Rome, and overcame the Ostrogoths, who were slowly hunted and exterminated. It was at this time, after the final restaint was removed at last, that Justinian delivered the throne of Rome into the hands of the Papacy, to exercise authority over Europe’s kings.

4) A man would represent this kingdom, claiming to have great authority over the kings of the Roman empire.
It is evident as we have seen, that this was remarkably and unmistakenly fulfilled only by the Pope of Rome.

7) He makes war with the saints who keep God’s laws.
After receiving this authority over the kings of the earth, those who kept the laws of God, first the Visigoths, Vandals, and Ostrogoths, and then the persecuting the people progressively more and still more.
9) He reigns for 1260 years.
It was from the time of 538CE that the Papacy took Rome, when Justinians’ General, Belisarius, overtook Rome, until 1798CE, when Napoleon’s General, Berthier, entered into Italy, into the Vatican, and took the Pope captive, and restored the Roman republic to the people. While the Popes maintained a somewhat spiritual influence, their political influence was wholly crushed underfoot. The Church had long used the sword of the state to overcome her opposers, now the prophecy regarding the Catholic beast was fulfilled: “I saw one of it’s heads, as it were, wounded to death…He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” (Rev. 13:10)

Having so long forced the people to submit to her rule or face the sword, now the sword of France, the eldest daughter of the Catholic church, was to be her worst opposer, and force her into submission. However, the prophecy does not end there for the antichrist, because antichrist, as revealed in the Papacy, has a grand final work before the end of the world.

Unlocking Malachi: The Gems of Jerusalem

“The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel” through Malachi was that the lessons of the past be not forgotten and that the covenant made by Jehovah with the house of Israel be kept with fidelity. Only by heartfelt repentance could the blessing of God be realized.” Prophets & Kings, pg. 705

There were two classes of priests/individuals in the book of Malachi.

1. 1. Those that feared God, and “serve Him” in truth.
2. 2. Those that did not fear Him, and “serve Him not.” (See Malachi Chapters 2 & 3)

In the days of Malachi the prophet, we read about these two classes of priests in the book of Ezra. Now Ezra was the son of Zadok, the son of Phineas, the son of Aaron, the high priest. Why is this point important? Because Phineas entered into an everlasting covenant “for the fear wherewith he feared Me.” During the time when Balaam cast a stumblingblock before Israel, to eat things sacrificed to strange gods, many of the men of Israel were seduced into joining to the idolatrous worship of the gods of the heathen religions. They united themselves with women of these idolatrous nations, and forgot the statute expounding the principles of the first commandment which declares:

“Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee: But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.” (Exodus 34:12-16)

So through the prophet Balaam’s wickedness, this snare came to Israel. Much of Israel in the days of Balaam joined themselves to the sun worshippers of Baal (Numbers 25:3-5, Revelation 3:14)

“And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly (where children are conceived). So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel. And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace. And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood (the priesthood of Melchizedek- the everlasting covenant- See Ezekiel 44:15,48:11); because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.” (Numbers 25:7-13)

A “covenant of peace” was made with Phineas, and to his seed. Ezra the priest, the son of Phineas, saw the faithfulness of that covenant from a God who cannot lie (Titus 1:2), and of him, we are told that Ezra “had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.” (Ezra 7:10; compare Malachi 2:6)

In the days of Malachi, there was an apostasy akin to the sun worship of Baalpeor. It says “Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.

And they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives by the first day of the first month.” (Ezra 10:16-17)

It was by this cleansing that the iniquity of Israel was purged. In Malachi, this prophecy was given: “And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

“My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips (See Revelation 14:4-5): he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 2:4-7; compare Numbers 25:7-13)

We are told that a priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and that the law of truth should be found at his mouth, being the messenger of the Lord of hosts. Not only are we brought to Phineas’ faithful example, and the covenant of peace made with him, but we are brought also to the Levites, from who Phineas and Ezra sprang, who would not worship the false gods of Egypt at Mount Horeb, and were committed by God with the priesthood, and the law of God, in which was shadowed the gospel.

We are told that there is another class of priest/individual in the Scripture:

“And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.” (Malachi 2:1-2)

The priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and the pronouncement of life and blessing would be with them:

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

However, it says of these priests, that they would not give glory to God, and were cursed, even their seed:

“Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.” For their doings that were corrupt before God, they are reproved, and told that the covenant of peace, and the law of truth is not with them, but is with His messengers, with Levi; the sons of Phineas, the sons of Zadok. He says instead of blessing and life, that their seed would live, that they would be cursed.

“But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law. (Malachi 2:8-9)

To this, they then respond: “Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?” (Malachi 2:10) to which the reply is given clearly: “Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.”

The messenger of the Lord of hosts, who had the law of truth and the everlasting covenant, was to turn people back to the law of the Lord.

“Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Malachi 3:1)

How will this way be prepared?

“Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet (“the messenger of the Lord of hosts”) before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. (Malachi 4:4-6)

Elijah was not only to restore hearts to the knowledge of the true God, but would cause the blessing of life, the covenant of peace, to be restored to Israel, making an atonement for Israel, “to turn away the wrath of the Lord God”, as Phineas did, to “turn many away from iniquity” (Mal. 2:6) and turn their hearts back to the true worship of God.

The relationship of an ecumenical society representing a nearly a quarter of the world’s population

The Message is For Today:

“What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” (1 Corinthians 6:6-7)

There could be no countenance with those who married the daughters of strange gods. Even today, there are many who say, “Don’t we all serve the same God? Isn’t He the Father of us all? Aren’t we all Abraham’s seed?” To many who make a profession of being united with Christ, but have made a marriage covenant with the inhabitants of the land, as many as doing through ecumenical relationships with the “mother of Harlots”, and as truly worship another god as did the Israelites of old. Likewise, there are many today which trample underfoot the law of Moses, with it’s statutes and judgments, which have the blessing of life pronounced upon the keeping of them in the gospel. It is the Elijah message which is the message of the everlasting covenant made with Abraham (Gen. 14-18, Romans 3, Galatians 4:22-29), which turns aside the curse, which declares: “Cursed is the man that confirmeth not all the words written in this law to do them.” (Deut. 27:26) The Elijah message is a call to repentance for trampling upon the good statutes of our God and Father, and not walking in His ways. Lastly, the Elijah message is a call to turn from false worship the the true worship, from the false gods, to the only True God.

God is purifying His messengers that prepare the way, that they may offer an offering in righteousness which He is holy and acceptable. (Mal. 3:3)

The Elijahs of today will repair the breaches made in the law through the covenant made with the inhabitants of the land, and through the worship of false gods, and call others into this message of reconcilation with our Father in heaven through the Son of God, and His everlasting gospel; fearing Him, as the prophecy declares the priests have feared Him, to remember His law, and to “give glory to His name” (Malachi 2:2, Revelation 14:7).

Here is the message of Malachi, the message of Elijah: “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Revelation 14:6-7

Such a reverential fear is manifested in the hearts of the messengers toward the law of God in the Elijah Message, that he seeks to restore others to the blessings contained in the everlasting gospel, that the curse of sin will no longer triumph in both the lives of individuals, and in their families; that the cleansing of the sanctuary might be made (Malachi 3:2-4), and a sure atonement is made for Israel (Comp. Leviticus 16, Numbers 25:13).

With those who fear the Lord and His law, we are given this promise in the Scriptures:

“Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. (Malachi 3:16-18)

But to those who are otherwise, we read a repeat of the curse to those priests who were partial in the law, not fearing God, and not speaking often together one with another, not having God in all their thoughts, not considering His name & blessings:

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea 4:6)

God has ever promised the blessing of life to those that remember Him and keep His ways, to them and their seed after them: (Exodus 20:4 [Exo.31:13-17], Deuteronomy 16:3, 8:18, 8:2)

“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” (Malachi 4:2)

These are promised: “They shall be Mine, in the day when I make up My gems”, and are likened unto “a son” that “serveth” his father. Only when we worship God our Father in Spirit and in Truth, can He call us sons that serve Him. There are those who claim that He is their Father, but they “serveth Him not” (Mal. 3:18), nor is “the law of truth in his mouth.” (Mal. 2:6) Therefore he is as Esau (Mal. 1:2-6), who is truly a child of Abraham his father after the flesh, but not after the Spirit, selling off the covenant of promise, and is accursed, entering into marriage covenant with the daughters of strange gods, and drinking from their communion cup.

So who are these who are gems, who fear God, and remember His eternal power and Godhead, reverencing His law? They are a “royal priesthood” (1 Pet. 2:9), children of the Lamb’s bride, the New Jerusalem, who is “the mother of us all” (Galatians 4:26):

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” (Revelation 21:2)

To those who receive this message, they will be the adornments of the Lamb’s wife.

“For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours (the covenant), and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children (compare Psalm 119:165). In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.” (Isaiah 54:5, 11-14)

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered (which was accursed, not subject to the law), nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice (“the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart” Psalm 19:8) for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.” (Isaiah 65:17-19)

Those who have this gospel are those who fear God and keep His commandments. In remembering the law of Moses, they gather together from one Sabbath to another, and from one new moon to another (See Isaiah 66:23, Ezekiel 46:1), to worship the King, the LORD of hosts (See Zechariah 14:16). He is the One that makes them holy; so is everyone holy that is a gem that adorns the Holy Jerusalem.

“Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they might have right to the tree of life, and enter in through the gates of the city.” Revelation 22:14

In the blessings given in the statutes, there were blessings given at certain seasons for the development of His people, and to protect them from idolatry. After the admonition to keep from turning aside to other gods, there was given the command to gather in the place of God’s own choosing (Exodus 34:18-23, also see John 4:21-23, Hebrews 12:22), those that fear God, and think upon His name were called to gather on new moons, Sabbaths, and annual festivals of God’s own appointing.

“God gave direction to the Israelites to assemble before Him at set periods, in the place which He should choose, and observe special days wherein no unnecessary work was to be done, but the time was to be devoted to a consideration of the blessings which He had bestowed upon them.” 2Testimonies 573

“Anciently the Lord instructed His people to assemble three times a year for His worship. To these holy convocations the children of Israel came… They met to recount God’s mercies, to make known His wonderful works, and to offer praise and thanksgiving to His name.” 6 Testimonies 39

“The Lord saw that these gatherings were necessary for the spiritual life of His people. They needed to turn way from their worldly cares, to commune with God, and to contemplate unseen realities.

If the children of Israel needed the benefit of these holy convocations in their time, how much more do we need them in these last days of peril and conflict! And if the people of the world then needed the light which God had committed to His church, how much more do they need it now!” 6T, pg. 40

This point was so vital, that the apostle exhorted the Hebrew believers in Christ:

“…forsaking not the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

Them That Fear His Name:

To those who give the call to fear God, and give Him glory, this is the fear He calls us to:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth forever.” Psalm 111:10

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding” Proverbs 9:10

Pro 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Pro 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

“Fear God, and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecc. 12

To the priests who not fear God, and do not keep His commandments, He has said, “Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” “Behold, I will corrupt your seed…” (Mal. 2:3)

Healing the Deadly Wound: The Rising Again of the Little Horn

The Bible tells us that the little horn will be revived…

The little horn power of the seventh chapter of Daniel is absolutely synonymous with the power of the beast who received a deadly wound which “was healed”. It is more evident that this healing should be evidenced by the fact that “all the world wondered after the beast”.

Now, that these powers are the same is abundantly evident.

Of the little horn, the Scripture says:
Dan 7:21  “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;”
Of that beast whose wound is healed, it says:
Revelation 13:7 “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them.”

The saints are identified as those who “keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.” (Rev. 14:12) Therefore, to make war with the saints is to make war with Jesus, who alone can make men saints, it is also a declaration of war on the law of God which the saints uphold.

That this power of the beast and the little horn is one and the same cannot be denied. Both are given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, while also continuing for the same space of time:

Daniel 7:25  “And he shall speak great words against the most High… and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time (1260 years).”

Revelation 13:5  “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months (1260 years).”

The language employed is so exactly the same for both powers, therefore, to employ the same principles is

The little horn and beast powers can only refer to the same power: the Papacy.

only fitting. since at the expiration of the prophetic period in which the beast was to receive a deadly wound, so then the little horn was to be judged in exactly the same manner in the expiry of it’s prophetic period. However, in the account of the beast who received this deadly wound, this is unmistakable language: “the deadly wound was healed, and all the world wondered after the beast.”

The Papacy, at the termination of her political conquests over the kings of the earth lasted a complete 1260 years, from the time of 538CE to 1798CE. So perfectly described: she made war with the saints; so definitely recorded in history did she make void the law of God, trampling it underfoot. Her mouth commanded itself above the consciences of men, employing force over that which alone God is to have dominion over, and who Himself does not force the will. 

And so surely this power lost it’s kingly throne just as the mouth of God declared in 1798, but the Scripture also tell us that the deadly wound would be healed, and that must mean an absolute undoing of the thing which the deadly wound consisted of. And of these things, there are many elements we may cite, but the affects of it’s healing would be evident: all the world wonders after the beast. And because Scripture so strikingly tells us that the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, there must be a definitively united confederacy between the Papacy and the governments of the world.

THE LATERAN TREATIES
Since the deadly wound lost the political influence and power over the kings of the earth, the healing of the wound would reverse this with the sign of governments awestruck by the Papacy. If we would understand something of the Papal healing, we should study it’s rising progression to power also.

It was by France that the Papacy had her beginning rise to power, but it would not be complete in France, because France was of the Roman Empire, but it was not that empire. France was the first kingdom to give credence to the Papal authority, and so influential was France upon the Roman Empire that many kingdoms quickly began to be taken under the Papal banner. The Scripture declares this prophecy clearly as France gave it’s power to be wielded by Catholicism:

Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

“Arms” refer to the army which the Papal conquests began with, and they polluted the sanctuary of strength by making war against God’s commandment keeping people; the very commandments enshrined in that sanctuary in heaven; the very foundation of God’s. This church and state union was finalized in 508CE when the Sabbathkeeping Visigothic nation was subdued and forced to convert to Catholicism, and driven to a small corner of modern-day Spain to avoid absolute extinction. This was called “the abomination of desolation”. This was not part of the 1260 year prophetic period, because it was 30 years earlier that the Catholic church had received the whole Roman Kingdom. Yet of this abomination of desolation, the prophetic period was a certain 1290 years:

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

From the time that France converted to Papalism, it now began to gain power over the kingdoms with rapid speed. France was the entering in of the Papal power, and from this point forward, influence was gained until 30 years later, the Roman empire was secured. This was the rising of the power of the Papal beast who received it’s deadly wound at the end of the prophetic periods stated above.

The Lateran Treaty was not the full healing of the deadly wound, but only the beginning…

Now, the deadly wound meant a loss of power. And if we understand the beginning of those prophetic periods upon which that Papal beast received it’s power, we might understand what is required for it to again secure that same power again. Since it only needed influence in one kingdom to eventually have power over the whole Roman empire, even so it only needed the influence of one kingdom to begin healing the deadly wound. The rise to power in the Papacy’s birth was also to be a sign of it’s rise to power again in it’s revival. Such a revival is not insignificant, seeing as the Papacy is so fundamentally laid open in prophecy for being the most cruel and deceptive of the Satanic masterpieces of death and desolation to the whole earth. For such a revival to occur, it can mean nothing less than it’s rise to power, but in fact, it can only mean far worse.

But when was such a door to revival to be opened to the Papacy? It was in 1929 at the signing of the Lateran Treaty. The Lateran Treaty was a concord agreement between Mussolini and the Catholic church which would grant the Catholic church to become it’s own state power in Italy. This land that was afforded to the church was the Vatican, the place where St. Peter’s Basilica was built through the blasphemous sponsorship program of Papal indulgences which spearheaded the Protestant Reformation to go forward. Yet despite having secured the privileges of being it’s own government, this was not the complete healing of the deadly wound any more than France’s conversion to Catholicism was the fullness of the Papal beast’s power, but it was merely the beginning of it’s healing.

But with such a small land, what influence could the Catholic church be? It could be much influence in every way as pertaining to governmental affairs. The Catholic church becoming it’s own state power, it now could hold diplomatic ties to the other nations of the world. No longer did the Catholic church need to represent itself as merely an ecclesiastical authority, but could now have diplomatic relations on a political level with the governments of the world. From the time of 1929 to the present time, the Vatican has more than 175 embassies with Papal nuncios (ambassadors for the Vatican) living on government premises. What does this mean? It means that representatives of the Vatican have been planted upon nearly every country in the world to represent the Vatican at a close, intimate level with the particular government wherever the nuncios are present. The purpose of these relations cannot be undermined, for by them, not only does the Pope and his representatives hold close communication with the leaders in government, but wields influences and dialogue over the decisions and the overall shaping the policies and practices of nations on a worldwide scale.

THE ROMAN CATHOLIC STANDARD

The flag placed by the Roman Armies around Jerusalem at the time of it’s desolation.

Though the church/state power was called the abomination of desolation, that desolating title was also given to the power which would reveal a definite removal of the protecting hand of God from Jerusalem just before it’s destruction. In an illustration of both the sign of the abomination of desolation regarding the Papacy, as well as the destruction of Jerusalem by the Roman armies, a single line would be used to carry both in one verse:

Matthew 24:1-3,15-16 “And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. (2) And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. (3) And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?… (15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) (16) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:”

Since it was an abomination of desolation to the establishment of the Papal government in 508CE and 538CE, the very same thing is to be definitely employed at it’s healing.

Likewise, we can draw some similarities to it’s healing from the destruction that was to meet Jerusalem as “the abomination of desolation”.

Just as Clovis’ church state was a sign that the Papacy was gaining power, and finds it’s contemporary with the signing of the Lateran Treaty, even so the sign of the abomination of desolation before Jerusalem’s destruction was significant to understanding of a counterpart it holds today, which sign is a definite signal to leave the cities.

The flag of the Roman Standard was raised upon the grounds of Jerusalem as a signal to God’s people that it was now time to leave the cities. So distinctly was this recognized as what would bring the desolation.

Luke 21:20 “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.”

The Roman armies planted their conquering sign upon the grounds of Jerusalem, just as the “arms” of the Papacy (that is, the kings of the earth) began to move in against those who opposed the Papal religion. Likewise today, there is a sign worthy of mention which culminates the signing of the diplomatic relations brought in by the Lateran Treaty.

THE RAISING OF THE FLAG: A DIVERSE HORN

The little horn and the diverse beast power are one in the same, and the language that Scripture conveys clearly lays this fact out for us. Therefore the deadly wound that the diverse beast sustains at the end of it’s prophetic period of 1260 years is the same thing which must correspond with the little horn of Daniel 7 at the end of it’s prophetic count. Likewise, as the diverse beast has a healing of that wound, we should not marvel as to see the little horn rise again to great prominence finding that very same healing to it, because it is one and the same power.

Now, as pertaining to the horns in the Bible, it is clear:

Daniel 7:24 “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.”

It is interesting to note that the “victor’s crown” lauryl on the Roman Standard flag is the same as that found on the United Nations logo.

The Roman kingdom had ten kingdoms under it’s banner. After the subduing of three horns which restrained the power of the Papacy, it was given a mouth speaking great things, dire

The United Nations is the very organization which has gathered the kings of the earth and the diverse horn has it’s flag raised at.cting the kings of the earth. The Papal horn was fittingly that “diverse” horn from the rest of the ten, inasmuch as it was an ecclesiastical authority and not chiefly a political authority. And this “abomination that maketh desolate” through the design and work of the Lateran Treaty has sought to “make desolate” for over 85 years. Now, the object of that abomination has been established and it’s aim reached.

On September 25^th, 2015, the United Nations held the largest general assembly of governments ever gathered in the history of the world. 198 nations were present there. The Vatican, though having close, and often unperceived, ties to the United Nations has been a non-member observer. While the flags of many nations were present, the Vatican flag was absent from among them. That was until the morning of the 25^th when the flag was raised officially amongst the rest of the kingdoms of the world. It was a practical declaration that the Vatican was that “diverse horn” from the rest of the kingdoms, and the prophecy of the little horn was true in what followed: it was given a mouth speaking great things.

Pope Francis on that very day addressed the delegates of the United Nations Sustainable Development Conference, where each nation, including the Vatican, signed an agreement to unitedly solve what they agree to be the world’s problems across the borders of this agreement in a pseudo-new world order-styled agenda.

The Papacy has gone from addressing individual nations through diplomatic relations to being received as a kingly voice in the largest governmental assembly ever held. The flag raised should be nothing less than an evident sign of the “arms” that are being influenced to stand on the Papacy’s behalf on the world stage. Truly the “desolation thereof is nigh”, “even at the doors”.  

THE JUDGMENT SCENE
Only a day prior was the day of judgment according to the Biblical reckoning of time, known as the day of atonement on September 24^th, when the Papacy addressed the United States house of congress. It was that dragon which gave the power and throne to the Papacy, and it is that dragon which gives the throne to the great harlot, which was nothing less than the “diverse horn”, called “that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” (Rev. 17:18)

John was shown the beginning, and conclusion of, the judgment scene of the great whore during the time of America, but which prophecy finds it’s consummation the ten horns on the dragon’s head.

Of those ten horns, it declares:

Revelation 17:16 “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.”
The very abomination of desolation is because of the little horn’s involvement with the kings of the earth, which “make her desolate”, and then shall burn her with fire.

Revelation 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

This judgment scene beginning is nothing less than the healing of the deadly wound, and the rising again of the little horn power, but did more happen on these judgment signs than what appears? What does the Scripture say regarding the judgment of the little horn?

THE JUDGMENT HOUR FOR THE PAPACY

Of the Papal judgment which goes in review before God the Father, the Scripture declares:

Daniel 7:26 “But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.”

Notice that the little horn will lose it’s dominion because the judgment was seated and the case will be decided to “take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end”, which is seen when this power is burned with fire, just as the great whore in the consummated decision of the judgment hour:

Daniel 7:8-11 “…behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. (9) I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, …his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. (10) A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him…the judgment was set, and the books were opened. (11) I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.”

Seeing then that the signal of the healing of the deadly wound has gone forth, and that the abomination that maketh desolate has been set up, is it any wonder that all the world, especially the kings of the world, are wondering after the beast at this very time? How evidenced is it that the flag raised is a warning to us that she is reigning as a “diverse horn”, an ecclesiastical authority, over the kings of the earth? The judgment of the Papacy is undergoing review before the Ancient of days in a marked manifestation for all to see at the very time when men are most desiring to stand under her banner. Let us therefore hear the conclusion of the matter:

Revelation 18:4-5 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (5) For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Daniel 7: The Rise and Fall of Empires

The vision is of importance to us in these last days…

In Daniel chapter 7, Daniel sees a vision of impression importance, revealing a controversy that leads to the people of God in the last days. His vision is of vital importance for us to correctly understand. He told us “he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.” Here is that dream, and it’s prophetic unfoldings:

“I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.”

Here Daniel sees the four winds striving upon the sea. We are told what the waters represent, using the Bible as it’s own interpreter:
THE SEA: “And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest…are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”  (Revelation 17:15)

The four winds striving upon the sea are the power of God’s judgment to bring scatter the power of the nations of the earth:

THE FOUR WINDS: “Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might. And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.” (Jeremaih 49:35-36)

Daniel then beholds four great beasts, one rising after the other, from amongst the people. We are told that these beasts symbolize kingdoms: ” These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth…The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth.” (Daniel 7:17,23) A king always is representative of his subjects, which make up his kingdom, with it’s associated laws and distinctive government; thus these four represent kingdoms.

This kingdom would have been instantly recognizeable to Daniel, who was both a captive in Babylon, and a counsellor to the sovereign of Babylon. All surrounding the walls of Babylon, there were over 120 lions with wings portrayed in honor of the goddess of war and fertility, Ishtar, who was one of the chief dieties of Babylon, alongside Bel (Baal) represented by a dragon, and Adad. The lions were symbolic of Ishtar’s throne. The inspiration for these came from both from Ishtar, and ancient Assyrian king Tiglath-Pileser I, who described in ancient texts his nations walls portraying great lions on them, and having sacrificed over 120 of them by hand in war. He is depicted as putting them to death by causing them to stand upon their feet. In a striking resemblance, we’re told of the lion: “it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man…” The the book of Daniel is filled with several stories of how God deals with the kings of this earth; He committed light into Babylon’s hand, which represents it standing upon it’s feet as a man, but the interpretation is twofold: a blessing, yet a foreboding of a coming judgment if it should turn aside from the light and privileges God had bestowed upon it (Rom. 1:20); Babylon, that great lion, was judged by the hand of God for profaning the holy privileges given to her.

                             THE SECOND BEAST: “And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side…”

The height of the tail is the star “polaris”, which is a fixed star. All other stars revolve around it, thus it is called the hand of Mithra.

The second kingdom that came was Media-Persia. The bear was raised up on one side, because the Persians were more powerful than the Medes, but they confederated together to secure the demise of Babylon. Like the lion, which symbolized the pagan religion of Babylon, the bear is symbolic of the pagan religion of the Persians. Mithraism, the worship of the sun, had it’s deity symbolized by the constellation “ursa minor” or bear. Ursa minor in the heavens is the constellation which is connected to the north star, “polaris”, which is immovable, but rather all stars move around it. Mithras holds constellation the Great Bear in one hand, emphasising his power as the stellar god who moves the cosmic pole as well being responsible for the procession of equinoxes. In an ancient Mithraic liturgy, it says describes him as “a god immensely great, having a bright appearance youthful, golden-haired, with a white tunic and a golden crown and trousers, and holding in his right hand a golden shoulder of a young bull: this is the Bear which moves and turns heaven around, moving upward and downward in accordance with the hour.”

The bear is said to have “three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.” The rib: is a symbol of woman who was made from a rib, and in Bible prophecy, we are told of a woman who reigns over the kings of the earth and is hostile towards God’s people, depicted by the rebellious tendencies of Babylon, and given the same name. Prophetic Babylon has a judgment pronounced against her; thus the kings of the earth “devour her flesh”. The ribs are a symbol of the three sovereign nations, chiefly Babylon, then Egypt, and Lydia, which Media-Persia’s confederacy “devour”.

THE THIRD BEAST: “After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl;”

The Grecian god Dionysius sat enthroned on a leopard.

The third kingdom to arise after the Media-Persian kingdom was the Grecian empire. It was symbolized by a leopard, a figure of the patron god of Greece, Dionysius, the god of revelry and fertility, who sat enthroned upon the leopard as his chariot. The leopard was the beast said to overcome all who opposed him.

Oppian, Cynegetica 4. 230 :
“Leopards are overcome also by the gifts of Dionysos… Leopards are now a race of wild beasts, but aforetime they were not fierce wild beasts but bright-eyed women…But to the women he gave the grey eyes of a wild beast and armed their jaws and on their backs put a spotted hide like that of fawns and made them a savage race.”

According to Greek Mythology, Dionysius freed his female worshippers from their imprisonment when they were incarcerated for worshipping him, and at their request they were transformed into leopards to avenge themselves and their god upon the king who imprisoned them.

It had four wings: symbolizing the great speed at which Alexander the great conquered the world; riding the winds of judgments falling upon the Media-Persian kingdom. It had four heads: symbolized by the divided dominion of Alexander, upon his death from the overuse of alcohol (a practice common among Greeks in dedication to Dionysius), shortly after he proclaimed he was a god.  Having no living successor, his kingdom was given into the hands of his four generals, Lysimachus, Cassander, Ptolemy, and Seleucus.

THE FOURTH BEAST: ” After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the remnant with the feet of it…”

Chronos, the god of time, often depicted with a serpent/dragon chariot, devoured children.

The fourth kingdom is the Roman Empire, which is said to devour and break in pieces. The chief god of the Romans was known as Saturn, or Chronos, god of time, whose chariot was serpents/dragons. Chronos, in fear of losing his place as chief among the gods, devoured any child who was born from him.
It was during the Roman Empire that Christ came as a man. Speaking of Christ’s birth during this time, we are told this devouring beast was the “dragon”. “…the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”(Rev. 12:4) Upon the king Herod learning of Christ’s birth from the wise men, he ordered all of the youth two and under to be killed for fear of his throne being overthrown. Satan, also called “the great dragon…that old serpent” (Revelation 12:9) in the Bible, had inspired the king with his very own fears of losing his throne. Thus Herod was moved by the very spirit of Satan to “devour” Christ “as soon as he was born.”

The beast symbolized by the devouring beast of the dragon, “that old serpent”, was also symbolic of the Roman god, Saturn. Saturn was known to transform himself into a serpent with wings, and he is also depicted as having a chariot carried along by serpents with wings. The “old serpent” in Scripture is a reference to the Satan using the medium of a serpent with wings before it was cursed perpetually to live on the ground. The god Saturn was known for having devoured his children as soon as they were born for fear that they would overthrow his dominion.

It was through the Roman Empire that it “break in pieces” Christ, as the sacrifice for man on the cross. After He ascended, we are told that the dragon makes war with “the remnant…which keep the commandments of God”: so the early Christians were terribly persecuted under the empire until the time of Constantine, when the dragon, “that old serpent”, would take a much more subtle form of attack in the Roman Empire.

THE TEN HORNS OF THE FOURTH BEAST: “…and it had ten horns.”

Daniel 7:24 says, “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise…”

The Roman empire was divided into what may be more commonly understood as ancient Europe. When the single Roman emperor fell, the kingdom was divided initially into ten divisions: Franks, Visigoths, Ostrogoths, Vandals, Saxons, Lombards, Suevi, Celts, Alemanni, Thuringians.

A LITTLE HORN: ” I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots…”

The Antichrist’s Rise: Who is this little horn?

We must not make the mistake of falsely identifying this little horn power, because it will prove to be the great antichrist power of history, and serve as a key to unveil the deception of the subtle serpent, and how he is working in these last days.

In order to avoid all mistakes of identity, it would be well first to consider the nine characteristic marks described in the prophecy itself. These marks of identity will enable us to be absolutely sure of the interpretation. We dare not guess or speculate concerning the historical identity of this “little horn” of prophecy.

1) It arises amongst the ten horns of Western Europe and it’s divisions.
2) The ten horns were in 476AD, so the little horn rises after this point.
3) It would uproot three horns standing in the way of it’s dominion, saying that “there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots.”.
4) It would have “eyes like a man and a mouth speaking great things,” signifying that it would be a man symbolized by this reign, and he would claim to be in a position of great authority.
5) This horn would be “diverse from the first”, showing that he is a different kind of power than the traditional political authority of the other kings.
6) It says “he shall speak great words against the most High.” Another verse says, “speaking great things and blasphemies.” [Blasphemy in the Bible is defined as a man, placing himself in the position of God. “For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” John 10:30-33, also to forgive sins- ““Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?” Mark 2:7)
7) He makes war with the saints, and prevails. (The saints are defined in the Bible as those who have the gospel of Christ and keep the law of God [Rev. 14:12])
8) He thinks to change times and laws. This does not refer to the laws of the kingdom of Rome, because the laws of the earthly kingdoms have always changed. It speaking about a man who claims to have authority to change the law of God and His kingdom.
9) It will reign for 1260 years. The Scripture says “a time, times, and a dividing of time.” While it seems unusual to word time like this, how can we know it is referring to 1260 years? The expression is employed again, in regards to a time when the church of God must flee persecution “for a time, and times, and half a time” in Revelation 12:14, which in verse 6 is referred to as “a thousand, two hundred, and threescore (a score is 20, so 3×20=60) days”. A day in Bible prophecy is in fact a year, according to Ezekiel 4:6 (“I’ve appointed thee each day for a year.”) A time therefore is 360 days, which is the length of the Bible’s year. Times is 720 (2×360), and a half a time is 180. If this is all put together, it gives us the key of reigning for 1260 years.

All of these points must match perfectly to identify the antichristian power, which will be used by Satan in the last days to deceive the world. God has already let these points find fulfillment, so none need be in darkness in the last days regarding the deceptions of Satan.
