Constantine Revived: The Trump Card

In Revelation 13, there are two prophetic kingdoms represented by beasts. The first is Papal and European; the second arises like a lamb, will speak as a dragon through its legislation, and will exercise all the power of the first kingdom. This is Protestant/Charismatic Evangelicals and America. The first beast exercised the power of church and state, making war against the commandment-keeping sons of light and truth. And America is to “make an image” to the first beast, in the church wielding great authority and influence in the United States.

We may ask, how may the United States, the bastion of religious liberty ever make an image to that old dark tyranny of Papal Europe? It may verily do so by following in the same course as the church of Rome did anciently. Firstly, the church must find a foothold in executive empirical power. The emperor Constantine is rightly ascribed to by historians and the Catholic church as having gained for the church a victory in reigning on the throne of the dragon, the Roman empire.

When Constantine extended his arm of Roman authority as Pontifex Maximus, the high priest of Rome, to grasp the hand of the sect of the Christians, he carried with him a flood of sun-worshipping pagans into the church, and thereby into its leadership.

Counterfeit Religion

Through the emperor Constantine, the practices and beliefs of the Babylonian religion followed right into the Church. Historians have said that it seemed almost the entire city of Rome converted virtually overnight to Christianity, but what actually happened is that the Babylonian religion was simply brought into the Church and the three supreme gods of the Babylonian religion were simply renamed as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Lesser gods became saints of the Church. The pagan Babylonian religious practices came into the Church right along with it. This made it easy for the followers of the Babylonian religion to convert to Christianity, but it certainly was not a genuine conversion. God condemns pagan religious practices, but they brought these practices into the Church anyway.

History fully supports this. The pagan Babylonian priests had a chief priest who held the title Pontifex Maximus (translated literally means greatest high priest). Most have heard the word “Pontiff” applied to the Pope and history explains where that term comes from. Originally, the king of the Attalid Empire held the title of Pontiff, and he passed it on to the Babylonian Priests before he died and they went to Rome. This title was given to Julius Caesar in 63 B.C. thereby making him the supreme priest of the Babylonian Religion and its gods.

An Excerpt on Constantine

Eusebius of Caesarea (c.263-c.339), a Catholic historian holding advisory status to Constantine, wrote how the emperor paved the way to usher in the dark ages. Constantine “made the priests of God his advisers, and thought it his duty to honor the God who had appeared to him with all devotion. Then, being strengthened by this hope in God, he went quickly on to fight the fire of tyranny.” His “Christian” advisors heralded him as the anointed of God to overthrow the adversaries, and to triumph gloriously in bringing in the Messianic age where the followers of Christ may reign.

He believed the sign of Christianity would give him victory over Maxentius, and at Milvian bridge, having a decided defeat of his opponent, he brought the church into great rapport in the Empire. He afforded the church great honors above others. The taxation of property was remitted, he showed honor to bishops, treating them favorably in his courts. He gave vast amounts of money for their support. Eusebius states that “The Emperor personally invited God’s ministers to spend time with him. He showered them with every possible honor, treating them favorably as people who were consecrated to the service of his God. bid them join him at the table…”. and supplied for the poor, especially so for the Christians, with food, clothing, and money. And enacted policies favoring the church, and for this cause, many who knew nothing of God or Christ flooded the church with their idols.

A Repeat of the Past?

It is repeating these steps that is bringing the Evangelicals into prominence in the United States; and by treading where that old emperor’s feet trod, an image to the beast has verily, albeit subtly, been reproduced. Trump appealed to the Evangelicals with that
great prophetic word: “power”.

He appealed that they should have power. They had “too much power”. They don’t “exert their power”. He promised them “plenty of power” and a wonderful representation if they would band together to elect him into executive power. He was the ardent opponent of a globalist figure, and a friend of the Protestant church who would stand to recognize them in his newly elected office.

The church followed suit, and Trump kept his promise. He brought the “lamb” into the court of the dragon as Constantine of old. He made them his advisors. Gave them tax exemptions. He lavishes them with honor. They sit at his table. They conduct Bible studies with the entire administration. He is, according to the Evangelical church, “raised up for such a time as this”, to “usher in the return of Christ”, and lead America to “return” to legislative policies pleasing to God.

He is to “fight the fires of tyranny” of Isis, and radical extremist persecutors, as well as secular democrats. It all sounds good. It looks pleasant to the eyes. And it looks like a course desirable to make America wise, but in actuality, it is the invariable venom of the dragon which will lead to a revival of the dark ages.

A Call to Unite The Church and State

Trump has brought the “court Evangelicals” into a position where they may promote an unbridled gospel of politics, and power by politics instead of power by the gospel of Christ by renouncing the restrictions through the Johnson Amendment, while still receiving benefits from the state to support the institutions of the church.

He has gone further by implementing the Faith and Opportunity Initiative as a direct Evangelical advisory office in the White House. Washington Post reported that Trump vows to bring the wall separating church and state down; this has been affirmed by several of his direct advisors, including Paula White and Johnny Moore.

BBC claims he is reshaping American politics. He has implemented ultra-conservative Evangelical/Catholic judges who interpret the Constitution’s freedom of religion clause as serving to protect Christians alone. Leaders of synagogues, mosques, and other faiths have decried the partiality of Trump in favoring Evangelicals over other faiths as his advisors.

A Fulfillment of Prophecy

Rachel Laser, CEO of Americans United for Separation of Church and State said “the Evangelicals have unprecedented access to the White House”, and that they have “influence on policy decisions that affect everybody.” “We’d like to know,” she said, “when they’re meeting, we’d like to know who’s at the meeting, we’d like to know what they’re discussing, and of course what comes out of the meeting. We aren’t getting any information except what they let leak out and brag about periodically. For example, we found out a few days after the president announced his ban on transgender people serving in the military, that this idea had been introduced and proposed at an Evangelical meeting a few days before.”

It has since been found out that they have a Liason to the Evangelical faith community in every single agency of the Federal government. This favoring of the Evangelical Protestants in the White House is nothing less than a striking fulfillment of prophecy. Trump is Constantine revived, and the church in America, as the church in Rome, is rapidly forming an image to that Papal beast, whose wound is swiftly being healed in Europe and across the world.
