Prophetic Update: CESI Trade Union Confederation Joins European Sunday Alliance- For Forced Sunday Rest

Europe has a dark bloodstained history with respect to forced Sunday rest. So when various organizations and trade union confederations join to revive the practice which has long been slumbering, many will find out too late that they’ve awakened a sleeping giant of destruction and perdition. The trade unions will be one of the agencies that will bring upon this earth a time of trouble such as has not been since the world began. The man of sin who “thinks to change times and laws” has had a history of making war with the commandment-keeping people of God throughout the dark ages. The day of the Sun, Sunday, among other Catholic holidays, were made statutory, and forced to be observed by the people throughout the nations of Europe. Yet all of the Catholic holidays can be traced back to pagan holidays, baptized and adopted into the church to persuade the pagans of the Roman Empire to profess the name of Christ.
Pope John Paul II clearly reveals the pagan origins of Sunday sacredness:

“Wise pastoral intuition suggested to the Church the christianization of the notion of Sunday as “the day of the sun”, which was the Roman name for the day and which is retained in some modern languages.(29) This was in order to draw the faithful away from the seduction of cults which worshipped the sun, and to direct the celebration of the day to Christ, humanity’s true “sun”.” (Deis Domini, Papal Encylical)

Europe’s soil was soaked in the blood of commandment-keeping, Bible-advocating Christians for 1260 years. It was Papal tyranny that was a force which stained it’s fingers in the blood of the faithful martyrs for Christ. We’re told of Papal Europe that “power was given unto him to continue forty and two months (30×42=1260 years: 538AD-1798AD)…And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” (Revelation 13:7)  This power seeks to lead men away from righteousness; away from the Sabbath of the fourth commandment; away from truly following Christ; “and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Rev. 13:8)

Papal Europe lost it’s power, but it is revealed in Revelation 13:3 that it will revive it’s headship over Europe in an world mesmerized by Papal policy. When we see the world so entranced by the Papal-pagan traditions, we see a rejection of the Lamb slain; we see a large class of people whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life; we see the Papal power preparing itself to brandish the sword against the minority, God’s faithful remnant “which which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Rev. 12:7)

Recently, a significant joining between the European Confederation of Independent Trade Unions, called CESI, and the European Sunday Alliance shows the same dangerous trajectory is not afar off. CESI’s website reported: “As of March 2017, CESI has acceded to the European Sunday Alliance, a broad stakeholder coalition on decent working hours and work-life balance.” The ESA are pushing heavily for a mandatory work-free policy throughout the European Union on Sundays. While some may state that such a step is divested from any church/state interest, the Secretary General of CESI, Klaus Heeger, has said otherwise: “It is vital that trade unions, social NGOs and churches join in a forceful coalition with decision-makers and politicians to make sure that employment remains regulated and fair for all. I am convinced that the European Sunday Alliance is a network that can make a difference.”

CESI is a confederation of 35 trade union organisations from 18 European countries and 4 European trade union organisations, with a total of more than 5 million individual members. Making it’s voice a considerable one, being one of the larger confederation of Trade Unions in Europe. In a strange defense for the European Sunday Alliance’ position, CESI also published a statement on ESA, saying “The European Sunday Alliance is convinced that working on Sundays endangers the health and safety of workers as well as the social cohesion in our societies.”

In addition to this, COMECE, an organization solely based on bishops of the Catholic church seeking to reform the European Union’s political landscape in favor of the Catholic church recently held joint-meetings with the European Sunday Alliance at the European Parliament building, where the laws of the European Union are ratified.

“COMECE, together with its partners of the European Sunday Alliance, organised at the European Parliament a panel debate on the role of common free time for social, religious and civic engagement and volunteering.” During the event at the European Parliament, Agnieszka Piasna (European Trade Union Institute), showed that collective free time is closely related to well-being and civic engagement. “It helps EU citizens to spend more time in activities that promote personal growth and community involvement”, she said.

By advocating Sunday sacredness, it places an additional burden upon Sabbathkeepers to not work on Sundays. Furthermore, by this pagan tradition kept alive in the church, it treads underfoot the Sabbath-commandment by having men honor Sunday, a common working day, in the place of Sabbath, one of the divine commandments. Placing one of the Catholic bishops pictures on their Facebook page, the European Sunday Alliance have used it to defend the need for Sunday rest: ”
“According to Christian understanding, Sunday is the first day of the week. So Sunday comes before work and business. Thus, the free Sunday is an expression that the economy should serve the people and not vice versa. ” Bishop Alois Schwarz; Speaker of the Alliance for Free Sunday Austria (Austrian Bishops’ Conference)

“Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition… But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:6,9)
